About Our Daycare Welcome to Chinenye Daycare! At Chinenye Daycare, we pride ourselves in being very loving, kind, gentle, and understanding childcare professionals who are easy to talk to, intelligent, efficient, open to new ideas, and above all, strive to improve the current and future well-being of the children we care for. We have many educational resources, based on the age of the children. We offer story time, learning colors, numbers, shapes, alphabets, reading books to infants, and so much more. One of our primary objectives is to provide a nurturing, fun environment for the daycare children. To accomplish this, we have child-sized furniture, nap cots, toys, books, games, craft materials, puzzles, and outdoor play equipment which will help children remain stimulated while in our care. The children also have climbing and other equipment inside a fenced backyard, where they are always supervised by our staff. In addition, we have materials and tools for early learning such as those that help children learn the alphabet and how to count. Social skills are also an important aspect of our daycare program. A child needs to learn how to engage with other children as well as with adults, and we consistently provide these opportunities. An additional service we offer is picking up your older child from a nearby school and helping them with their homework while they are in our care. We have computers which are accessible to all the children in the daycare, especially the children in the “afterschool care” program. Because we believe consistency is key, we have created schedules for daily activities, meal times, diaper changing times, nap times and more. We have an open door policy, which means the parents can stop by without notification, and call or text anytime they want and we will respond. We strive to be your partner and always give our parents peace of mind. We are completely transparent in our program and curriculum. We make ourselves available to discuss any questions or concerns our parents may have. We continuously self-assess and look to improve and make communication with the parents a paramount part of the childcare environment. We are committed to giving your children quality care. We make sure that the children in our daycare, grow physically, socially, emotionally, academically and otherwise.

Lovie S. says "She amazing with my child. My son has been going for 2 1/2 years and he LOVES going! "

Welcome to Kids Are People Inc, Group Family Child Care. We have a vital role in supporting and enhancing the value of children’s play. Our role as a caregiver is the same as that of a parent, children need to feel loved and protected in our care. We believe that boosting self-esteem and self-confidence in children is an important part of our daycare program. Your children are encouraged to express their feelings and learn to be self-disciplined and self-motivated. Providing a rich variety of materials will allow children the opportunity to explore and learn by their activities and experiences. They can have fun and enjoy socializing with others while learning. Children are, for the most part, independent and like to do things on their own. We believe that children thrive when they are able to experiment and test things out for themselves. They need to make mistakes and figure out conclusions on their own, or with assistance. We believe that a teacher’s role is to listen, observe and understand the strategy that children use in a learning situation. Children ages 16 months through 5 years are invited to the educationally progressive Kids Are People Inc., where they encounter opportunities to develop academic, motor and social skills. In the loving, safe, relaxed, and clean environment, the experienced staff provides children with the necessary tools, such as mixed age groups, individualized attention and hands-on activities to intensify and strengthen each child’s understanding of himself, others and their surroundings. At Kids are People Inc., the well-balanced schedule is flexible in order to make children not feel rushed, and is based on their needs. The curriculum developers based the programs on their knowledge of a child’s intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth patterns. In conjunction with what is learned in the classroom, educators create and strengthen relationships with each student’s family to nurture the child’s sense of identity as well as integrating different, but equally important wisdoms. Each child keeps a journal to share daily activities, and monthly newsletters inform families about upcoming school activities and field trips. The school holds class Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm and extended hours available.

OPENINGS ONLY FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2023-24, STARTING SEPTEMBER 2023. ....... Our students love learning and go on to succeed in grade school, and in life, as independent, adaptive self-starters. The Montessori House School offers children a remarkable learning experience based on Maria Montessori’s insights and materials. As you learn more about our school, we're sure you'll come to appreciate the warm, caring and inviting atmosphere that Montessori House School children, their parents and their teachers enjoy so much. ....... For children age 30 months through 6 years. We offer full-day program (M-F, 8:30-3:00) and half-day program (M-F, 8:30-12:00), both on a typical school schedule from September to June. Our classes have a student:teacher ratio of 10 or less. The school provides morning and afternoon snack, parents pack lunch. After care is available to 6 p.m. on school days. ....... For the school year starting September 2023, full-day program tuition is $23,400 and half-day program tuition is $14,900. We offer a 10% sibling discount if you enroll more than one child for the entire school year. ....... The Montessori House School is a member school of the American Montessori Society. Why is that important? Well, any school can call itself Montessori (no one “owns the name). A school may say “Montessori” on the outside, but parents don't know what's on the inside. In fact, many so-called “Montessori” schools are anything but! Our AMS membership lets parents know that we offer an authentic Montessori education and experience. ....... While the Montessori Method defines the classroom experience at The Montessori House in so many ways, we care deeply about your child’s total experience at school, and about your experience as a parent. ....... 1) For children, we consider a warm, caring approach a top priority. With a low student:teacher ratio, our teachers can take the time needed to care for and guide each child -- without raised voices -- in class, at lunch, or on the playground. ....... 2) We provide a safe environment for children, where “safe” is defined broadly. First, to ensure physical security, classrooms can only be accessed through two sets of locked doors,, with video monitors at our entrance and in our classrooms, along with an office staff to monitor visitors. Second, classrooms, toilets, and public areas are cleaned daily without harsh, commercial chemical products ensures a healthy learning place. ....... 3) We offer children a rich set of experiences at school. We seek to expose children to real things – natural materials in the classroom; trees, flowers and wildlife in the playground; seasonal and exotic fresh fruits and vegetables for snack. The Montessori House is fortunate to welcome students from a wide variety of backgrounds. Beyond day-to-day peer interaction, children also participate in cultural activities led by parents in class or at one of our school festivals. ....... 4) For parents, we are open and available. Our office is always open and staffed school days, ready to respond promptly to your questions or concerns-- by text, by email, by phone, or in person. Parents are welcome in the school at all times, and can observe each of our classrooms via closed-circuit TV. We want parents involved at school in ways that involve their children; opportunities include parent-led class activities, field trips, and school festivals. As we do for children, we seek to give parents a warm, caring experience at The Montessori House. ....... See for yourself! Seeing our students and teachers in action is the best way to learn how The Montessori House applies the Montessori Method and provides a productive, nurturing, and enriching environment for your child. ....... We look forward to your visit!

I am a mom of 3 watching a few children out of our home in Orangeburg. I have openings for summer and fall 2018 ages 6 weeks to 5 years. I am also available for before school care for Franklin Ave elementary, the bus can be taken from my house with my own 2 girls. I have been watching children for the past 3 years and can provide excellent references. I love kids and am currently going back to school for my Master's in special education. Every morning, we do circle time. We learn the days of the week, the months of the year, and talk about the weather. Then we usually read a book and do an art project. After circle time, we go outside, weather permitting. I am big on kids having fresh air and outdoor play. As long as it's not raining or heavy snow, I bundle them up and get them out at least for a little while. If we can't get outside, I try to at least have them get some exercise by doing things like dance parties or kids yoga. I love reading to them, doing arts and crafts projects, playing games and singing songs. I am a big believer in play-based learning so I try to give the kids free time to use their imaginations and learn how to interact with each other socially but I also do structured activities like art projects and circle time. If you are interested, send me a message. We can meet, talk more and see if this is the right fit!

WHAT IS O.W.L. PLAYSCHOOL ALL ABOUT? An amazing Reggio Emilia influenced Group Family Day Care where your child will have a great time learning how to learn "Each time one prematurely teaches a child something he could have discovered for himself, that child is kept from inventing it and, consequently, from understanding it completely." - Jean Piaget Our Philosophy International interest in Italy's Reggio Emilia schools exploded when Newsweek magazine dubbed them "the best preschools in the world" in 1991. The beautiful philosophy has many educational concepts we value deeply at One World Learning and it inspires our important work with children. We have: - Faith in parents: To be informed and cooperative members of the team - Faith in children: To be interested in what is worth knowing - Faith in teachers: To solicit multiple points of view, respecting children where they are on their learning journey We are: +a team that is fully CPR and First Aid/AED Certified +a school that is open all year round We believe: - Children are born with rights - Children are competent - Children use many "languages" to communicate their experience - Children are not empty vessels to fill with facts, and dates but come to school with ideas, preferences and hypotheses to explore - In the child as protagonist, collaborator, and communicator - Children learn best through loving, authentic relationships - Child development and current brain research best informs our practice In New York's Early Learning Standards and being ready for all styles of Kindergartens but with a spirit of joyfulness that promotes curiosity, problem-solving and open mindedness for a lifetime of learning We support: - Emergent curricula that comes from children's ideas, thoughts and observations - Documentation as communication (pictures, quotes, journals, projects, portfolios) -The teacher as researcher, partner, nurturer and guide - The environment as a "third teacher", aesthetically -pleasing and connected to nature as it is our favorite place to be.. - Play and playfulness We aim: - For peaceful, unhurried childhoods and parent-hoods - To be connected with the natural world, the harmony in music and dynamics found in celebrating multi-cultural-ism - For "Nothing Without Joy!" New Milford Early Leaning Center and Daycare is small and family oriented center. After much research, ELC has used Learning Without Tears and Handwriting Without Tears curriculum, a holistic, child-centered program that offers age-appropriate, hands-on learning experiences for our students. Our goal is to guide children through play and experiences. Learning Without Tears and Handwriting Without Tears was designed with children in mind, The multi-sensory and developmental instruction is simple and highly effective for all children and teachers. The Pre-K program, Get Set for School, allows numbers and letter sounds to dance across our classroom. This curriculum makes sure all children have all the tools they need to express their thoughts, step by step, letter by letter. It helps our students find the heart of every letter and inspire a love of learning. We will observe our students to adapt our lesson plans to their needs and interests. Art, Science and STEM activities are included in our daily activities. We want all parents to be informed and aware of the activities within the classroom as well as how parents can reinforce these goals and objectives at home. All parents have the director cell number for questions, concerns, input, or just to check to how their child is doing. Our curriculum is aligned with the New Jersey Department of Education Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards. A unique humane education program is also built into our curriculum. The love, care and respect for all lives is taught on a daily basis. Our students are able to interact with pet therapy animals. Our furry and feathered friends include, Edna ( our diapered, imprinted, tame, loving duck), Mae (our giant, docile, tame, loving rabbit), Leo and Lily (our very friendly and attention seeking white doves) and others along the way. All our animals are fully vetted on a regular basis. The students and director started a non profit animal rescue, Fred and Friends, inc in 2011. Some of our ELC families have even helped with rescue! Fred and Friends had a unique rescued duck years ago that was friendly, loving and special needs. Beakers was hatched with a birth defect and was unable to walk. This did not stop his excitement to live Under Miss Christine’s supervision, and with the direction of a rescuer from the UK to guide us via FaceTime, the students built beakers a “duck wheel chair” so he was able to move around on his own. We all learned many important lessons from our feathered friend, Beakers. Miss Christine, grew up along the Mississippi River in Illinois. She brings country family traditions to the ELC like gardening and cooking. Going along with our humane education we have also collected for a local food pantry, started a have a heart program collecting supplies/food needed for local animal shelters, and adopted soldiers deployed sending art work, stamps, stationary, treats and other supplies. Early Learning Center is not the normal “cookie cutter center.” We learn real life skills that will stay with our students forever. We are a true family. Our loving infant/toddler head teacher has been with us since 2006. Early Learning Center is not the fanciest daycare/preschool you will find, but we challenge you to find a more loving, nurturing learning environment.
