My son has been attending Kids Are People (KAP) for 2 years now and we are very happy and blessed with our experience with them. As a new parent also new in the area, had no family member or friend around, finding the best childcare was incredibly hard. After several options we tried, we found KAP. My son loves going to KAP and we parent feel like dropping him off at"family" home who we trust. I chose and recommend KAP because 1.Family daycare (Feel like home, being surrounded by people had a great influence on my son's social skill) 2.Mixed-age class (My son is the only child, therefore, I wanted him to have friends like brothers and sisters, now he has many of them! ) 3.Outside activity (Fabulous backyard/playground. Morning and afternoon outside activity all year round helped my son's physical development. ) 4.Multiple activities every day and every season (Songs, dances, arts, pretend-play, seasonal events. He loves reading, singing and dancing thanks to their fun activities. We as a new parent always learn from their activities as well so that we can do the same at home.) 5. Transparency and Safety (They share their activities daily, photos and videos occasionally, which make us laugh, happy and assured. Their cleanness level is always super high.) 6. Wonderful Teachers (All teachers we have and had in previous years are all loving and caring. My son loves them so much, we as parents love having a conversation with them, we are so thankful with their love, passion and hard work. Also, Mr Michael who runs Kids Are People 2 now, has been a hero for my son. ) 7. Ms Rosalie's experience and passion (she is an extraordinary experienced teacher, mother and grandmother. Her passion for teaching and learning is illuminating. Also, as a parent, we learn a lot from her experience. When I struggle parenting, I ask her advice, and it is always right. ) Thank you, Ms Rosalie and all team for their love and hard work. We could never make our everyday life and our dream without KAP.

At The Learning Experience Academy of Early Education, we believe that caring for and educating children is a noble and enriching task. We are more than just a child care center. We pride ourselves on the love and respect we provide to each child and their family. We have more than 25 years of experience in providing children with the tools and the environment necessary to achieve their highest potential.

When you walk into our center, you get a sense of being amongst family. We consider our center to be your child's home away from home. At The Learning Experience children are given the support they need to grow socially, physically and emotionally (or LEARN, PLAY and GROW) in a safe and secure environment. High-tech security systems, an exceptional and proprietary curriculum, a well-equipped, clean and sanitary environment and state of the art center are just some of the ways The Learning Experience stands apart from the others. We are proud of our structured, yet fun environment that offers children a world of opportunity to gain confidence and knowledge, all while establishing a love for learning and giving parents peace of mind that their child is in good hands.

We absolutely love The Learning Experience. We have two children enrolled and our oldest son has been there since the center opened nearly two years ago. As any parent knows, choosing childcare is an extremely difficult decision, but there are many things that TLE does that are far beyond other daycares we have been enrolled in or have visited. First of all, security is a top priority with two sets of locked doors and a two-step check-in process. When we attended a daycare in Manhattan, there was only one door and the lock was often broken, which made me extremely nervous. The staff will also notify us immediately if anything happens - even something as minor as our baby being scratched by another baby - and they keep us updated throughout the day via photos and updates on the app as well as an email report at the end of the day. We also fill out paperwork indicating which hospital and emergency services we want to use if god forbid an accident happens. In the baby room, parents must wear surgical booties before entering to keep the floors clean. The curriculum is very advanced and our 4-year old is already learning Spanish, sign language, math, geography, etc. along with special sections on manners and volunteerism. The staff, including the director Ms. Felice, are absolutely wonderful and many of the teachers have become like family members to our kids. The center offers a bunch of great incentives that you won't find in other places like sibling discounts, corporate discounts, vacation credits and meals and snacks included. Overall, The Learning Experience is a fantastic school that I highly recommend to other families!

At Butler Nursery School, we believe that children thrive in an age appropriate program within a safe and nurturing environment. We offer a curriculum designed to foster their growth, stimulate their curiosity, and challenge their mental and physical needs. We encourage the development of socialization skills and the building of self-esteem, while respecting each child's uniqueness as an individual. The classrooms at Butler Nursery School are bright and cheerful. We have a large, mural indoor playroom and a well-equipped outdoor playground. Play is an important aspect of child development. Through play, children explore the world around them by learning how to socialize with others, expressing feelings through language, testing muscular skills, and developing math concepts. We enrich this play through reading, music, art, cooking, and dramatic play.

We offer half day programs to children age 2-4. Programs are offered 2, 3, and 5 days a week (days offered varies based on age). We do not require that a child be potty-trained before entering school. The school year runs from mid-September to early June, and a six-week summer camp is also available.

Some daily activities include free play, music, snack time, playground time, painting, story time, dress-up, circle time, and water play. Throughout the year, Butler holds special events such as our International Dinner, Holiday Festival, Christmas Tableau, and Easter Chapel Services.

Butler is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in Northeast Yonkers. The Butler Nursery School is a program of St. John's Episcopal Church, Tuckahoe, and is founded on the highest Christian and educational standards. We share the teachings of Jesus Christ through stories, holiday observances, grace before snacks, and child-oriented chapel services. We are a proud member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools. We welcome families of all religious faiths to join us! We are pleased to boast a diverse student body.

Jenny's Loving Daycare Inc.

9 Dickinson, Yonkers, NY

Costimate: $243/wk

My name is Jenny and I have been associated with daycares since 1999. I have four of my own children, the youngest being 14. I began running a daycare because I needed the service for my own children. There was no one to pick up my second youngest child from the bus stop while I was home with my youngest child.

The goal of Jenny's Loving Daycare INC. is to provide your child with a nurturing, loving, and caring environment. My facility and staff are MAT certified, being that they are able to administer medication in the case that your child may be sick. There are guidelines that we follow as of January 5, 2005 for administering medication. For your child's safety we do conduct monthly fire drills and practice with the children on where to meet in a case of a fire and how to safely leave the facility if one does occur.

My facility also provides a very stimulating curriculum for all ages. For infants, story time, floor play and music time is used to stimulate their minds and bodies. They are given toys that consist of different textures for their sense of touch. Young toddlers have music, story time and arts & craft time. They are encouraged to color using their imagination and take part in projects appropriate for their age. Toddlers begin practicing writing their names, numbers and alphabets. We also encourage them to participate in projects that are age appropriate. They are able to paint, use chalk and even attempt to cut out their own pictures for their projects. School age children receive after school help with their homework and when there is no homework assigned then they are able to create their own projects to take home.

We encourage active play, when the weather permits, the children have outdoor play. They are able to play with basket balls, draw with chalk and play on the backyard play-set. My staff and I encourage your children to grow and develop using their own mental capabilities with our guidance.

My facility is filled with lots of love, kindness, compassion, nurturing, cleanliness, fairness and learning. I would not expect any less for my own children and would not provide any less for your loved ones.
