Part Time
Seeking care for my father in his 70s. Services needed: companionship, bathing / dressing, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, light housekeeping. No prior experience required. Specialized care needs: support for chronic illness, nursing experience, support for memory care. Female caregiver preferred.
A little more about my father: he can be anxious, pleasant, outgoing. He has had a very bad run with cancer, cancer is gone but dependant on feeding tube, he does best with socializing with people but is current fairly isolated. I'm looking for someone who is patient, chatty, firm, fond of pets. Really needs someone who will chat with him and listen to his stories and such but also has to be firm with him on things like doing his pt exercises and self care. My mother does a lot of his care but is just worn down and needs some help, my father doesn't like to listen to her when she insists he does things but will basically listen to any one else which is a big reason for finding a caregiver to assist him, in addition to be a friendly face for him just someone to help my mom as well and give her some well needed rest.
