Infant & Newborn Experience Seeks Short-Term Position (1-6 Months)

(3)
For 10 years, I have worked with youth ranging from newborns to teenagers in both private nanny settings and group care settings. Significant newborn, infant, and multiples experience. I recently relocated to Philadelphia after living in Pittsburgh for 3 years where I got my Masters in Social Work. My childcare style is highly nurturing. Background in theater and live lit storytelling. Love reading to kids of all ages and make a point of talking through daily activities for babies to foster language development. I am an avid hiker in my spare time and I love going on walks when the weather permits and exploring this world along with the child I am caring for. CPR & First Aid certified. TDAP and flu vaccine. Valid PA license & clean driving record. Act 33/34 and FBI clearances. Can provide regular or as needed evening, weekend, or overnight care.

Samantha watched our one-year-old daughter on multiple occasions and we will definitely ask her to come back in the future. She arrived at the time we scheduled and was excited to be there. She immediately jumped in and started interacting and building a relationship with our daughter. She was understanding and open to our routine and schedule, and her attentive behavior helped her instantly connect with our daughter. We strongly recommend Samantha and are glad we found her!

I have been a Registered Nurse for 30 years and I have 40 years of childcare experience from newborns with/without special needs to teens. I have all of my clearances and am a non smoker. I am Infant, child and adult CPR certified, as well as, first aid and emergency care. I drive and have my own vehicle. I've cared for singletons and multiples up to 6 children at a time. I am the mom of twin girls. I also have volunteered in the public school system as a classroom assistant teaching reading, writing, math and science. I cleared by the Philadelphia School district to work directly with student from PreK to 12th grade. I like to help children meet their milestones and I focus care on growth and development. I'd appreciate the opportunity to work with you and your family.

We hired Janice to take care of our twin boys when they were infants and she was amazing with them. She cared for them like they were her own babies. She really loves working with children and it shows is all that she does. She has a way of teaching kids without them even knowing they are learning. Our boys were a little behind due to premature birth and she had no trouble helping them to get on the normal growth and development curve. She was flexible with shift changes or extended hours when needed and was always reliable. I would highly recommend her to care for your children. She truly is a gem and worth far more than she charges.
