About Mya

Hi! I am a nanny with 9 years of childcare experience, including 4 years of nannying, and Most of my experience is with infants and toddlers from 6 weeks to 5 years old. My most recent postion started when she was 5 months old now 18 months! As she transitions to school I'm searching for my next family. My approach is based in respectful caregiving, Montessori principles, and positive discipline. I respect children as capable individuals, giving them space for self-directed play and building skills at their own pace tailoring my support to their individual needs. I work through big emotions by offering a calm, steady presence and setting clear, gentle boundaries. I focus on nourishing the whole child encouraging development of social-emotional growth and practical life skills. I have my CPR and First Aid certification, coursework in psychology and early childhood education, as well as extensive experience with BLW and Baby ASL.
