I am a stay-at-home mother. I have 2 daughters. The 2 year old is home with me all day, while the 6 year old is in first grade. My hours are 7AM - 6PM, Monday - Friday. I am certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support as well as Infant, Child & Adult First Aid/CPR. I do not believe in placing the children in front of the television. The television MIGHT be on twice during the day. Once in the morning at which time the children may watch Sesame Street, Curious George or Clifford The Big Red Dog. At lunch the television is turned on again but only with educational shows; Leap Frog ABC's, Leap Frog Counting, Leap Frog Shapes; Colors, etc. The rest of the day is based on each child's needs. Babies may spend time in a swing, exersaucer, practicing tummy time or getting cuddles. Toddlers-PreK will spend time playing, being taught colors, ABC's, numbers, sounds, animals, etc. Early school age children will receive assistance with homework if they need it, they will also practice learning sight words, capital & lower case letters, writing letters, spacing in sentences, basic math, etc. Food is provided except for those for are on special diets and require baby food such as Gerber meals or formula (parents need to provide). Parents are also required to provide diapers, wipes or pull-ups. Your child will be sent home with a daily progress report or you may opt to receive text messages thru out the day.
