Hello Marie. I would like to start off with an apology as I did not see this review till now. This is the first that my staff or I are hearing of such incidents that have allegedly occurred in my childcare program. In the 13years that I have had this program I have never seen any maggots of any sort in a child's cup. Each child's cup is monitored and cleaned appropriately. These matters are something that I would think would be of great importance to of been discussed in great length with anyone taking care of your child or grandchild. I have never handed back any soiled clothing with feces to a parent. In fact, the parents are given the option of whether or not they would like me to launder it myself or return home, clearly without any feces in the clothing. Yes, as of last year I have started to close the daycare for two week s in August. This decision came after 12 years of not closing the daycare for other than the school approved closings. Lets be realistic now, we all have to worry and take care of our mental health in order to provide the appropriate and best care for the children that depend on us on a daily basis in order to succeed. In response to the statement of one day off each month as I stated previously this daycare follows the school approved closings which would be the only days that are off. Payments from the parents or state are discussed and reviewed in great depth prior to start in order to avoid any confusion as you are stating. The front door to the daycare is in fact locked due to security reasons. I would like to think that the parents are rest assured that their loved ones are safe and in a secure area. At no point have I ever turned away any parent that wanted to enter. Any parent was more than welcomed to enter the daycare program as some did (with Covid-19 now things have changed) but at the time this was written, parents were given the option of dropping off their child and leaving as well as having their child ready at the door as they are getting out of work and would like to get home themselves. We here are big on communication and I would urge you to if in fact these statements were true and things of this manner occurred with any child at any child care setting to address it at the time of the alleged incident. I am more than confident in the quality of care that is given in this program and as my waiting list and parents that have had their child enrolled here for years with multiple siblings, speaks for itself.
