Drone Explorers: STEM Missions is an exciting indoor program for students in grades 4–8. Kids will learn to fly and code real drones while solving hands-on, real-world challenges. Each session blends science, technology, and teamwork in a fun and engaging way. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and creativity. All equipment is provided, and classes are held safely indoors.

Talk Trekkers” Intro to Public Speaking Series (NO Prerequisites) This fun, high-energy, and highly interactive public speaking series is perfect for young speakers of all experience levels! Whether your child is a beginner or already has some public speaking experience, this 5-session, 5-class-hour course provides individualized feedback and tailored challenges to help them grow while having a blast! Students will receive class materials, including a detailed class packet, to support their learning and practice. In each lively, engaging class, students will: LEARN - Learn and improve on the fundamentals of effective public speaking and explore different styles of speaking; - Learn to reduce and manage public speaking anxiety and nervousness; - Learn to implement DAILY positive public speaking and communication habits; - Learn to structure and improve their writing skills; - Understand the differences in various types of public speaking, such as persuasive, informative, storytelling, and conversational skills. DO - Practice their impromptu speech skills as well as prepared written assignments; - Present to the entire group and receive feedback from instructors and peers. IMPROVE - Each student will receive individualized feedback on their speaking to help them grow as confident and effective communicators. - If assignments are written, students will also receive individualized feedback on their writing to enhance clarity, structure, and impact. Every class is packed with high-energy activities, exciting public speaking games, and opportunities to practice new skills in a supportive, dynamic environment. For classes with more than 10 students, two engaging instructors ensure each child receives plenty of attention and feedback. This program is a deep dive into the life of vacant land in the Hill District of Pittsburgh: its past, present, and future. Using neighborhood observation, engagement, sampling, and lab science, participants will build an understanding of life present on vacant land – from microorganisms to environmental phenomena. Through research and interpretation, a more profound understanding of living urban land will emerge. As part of the program, participants will synthesize their learning into recommendations for vacant land use, becoming contributors to a long-term beautification process and receiving personalized mentorship along the way. We learn more than how to follow a recipe at Lil’ Chef School. We utilize math, science, teamwork, creativity, and more. Children learn the world's cuisines and enhance their experience with fruits, vegetables, herbs & spices while gaining confidence and experience in the kitchen that will last them a lifetime. With 5 trails and over 60 different challenges, this Adventure Park is the largest forest climbing park in the Columbus area. This is an active climbing adventure! Be ready for some physical challenges! At the heart of the park is the main treehouse platform with 5 separate elevated trails heading off and up into the tree tops. Each is color coded indicating the difficulty of the trail. Like a ski mountain, each climber chooses their own level of challenge. Guests in the park will use the award winning SSB “intelligent belay” system with double-connected safety clips that help keep guests locked to a lifeline cable. This ticket includes about 20-30 minutes of instruction up to 2 hours of climb time. Depending on the climber and the trails chosen, climbers can generally complete two to three trails during a two hour climbing session. This activity is for participants 7 and older and under 270lbs.
