How does it work? Let’s find out! Mini Makers is a hands-on lab designed for children who love to build and deconstruct. We provide a 'tinker-friendly' environment where students use diverse materials to engineer their own inventions. From taking apart old gadgets to building new masterpieces, our creators learn through doing. Join us for a day where play is the engine of discovery!

Energy is everywhere, but how does it actually work? Join us for an exploration of all things kinetics! This hands-on camp pulls back the curtain on the various forms of energy that power our lives. Students will investigate the 'hidden motion' of the universe, learning how the movement of tiny electrons, atoms, and molecules creates the physical world we see. Through creative engineering challenges and scientific experiments, your young scientist will master the principles of kinetic energy from the microscopic level to the massive.

How do scientists pull off their most epic feats? By using their greatest tool: curiosity! Our students will explore groundbreaking studies to see how famous scientists changed the world—and learn how to launch their own 'out-of-this-world' ideas into orbit. Note: Aftercare runs until 5:30 PM on 12/28–12/30, and until 4:00 PM on 12/31.

Get ready to blast off into space! In this daylong camp, we will dive into pretend play that explores the magic of outer space. Come along as we adventure to the Solar System of Make-Believe Planets... this is a wonderful camp for kiddos who feel a connection to the stars and like to imagine worlds beyond our own! Drop off is from 9am - 9:30 and pick up is anytime between 3:30 - 4:00pm. Refund Policy: Please note that we have a no refund policy. Full credits will be issued for anything with a 4 week notice and can be used for any future Rabbit Hole activity. After 4 weeks we are unable to credit. If your child is sick or you need to miss a day of camp we will have a camp bag ready for you at the studio. This bag will be filled with enchanted projects, art materials, audio and video links and anything your kiddo might be missing in class. Please email us ahead of time and let us know if you need to miss and would like an at-home camp bag! Photography Notice: We love to share the joy of our experiences on SmugMug and social media! By studying the amazing properties of the elements, students will draw inspiration to design their own scientific Super Hero identities. It’s chemistry—with a heroic twist!

Every Sunday, our studio will open its doors to young children and their caregivers for a relaxed, multiple hands-on experience designed for open-ended exploration and creativity. Children are free to explore a variety of art materials at their own pace and in their own unique way. From glow painting to exploring various materials like shaving cream, ooey gooey slime, this open play is designed to engage all of your child's senses, promote cognitive development, fine motor skills, and sensory processing as your child explores different textures, colors, and materials. Our studio is transformed into a wonderland of colors, textures, and possibilities, with art stations set up to inspire young imaginations. Caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun, fostering bonding moments as they create alongside their little ones. - One caregiver per 2 children max - Dress for the Mess.

Hilltop Creative is nestled in Bernal Heights. Our space is aesthetically beautiful and calming for our days together. We are excited to spend the week being creative, building community and long lasting friendships. Hilltop Creative provides an enriching environment for children to explore art, nature, creativity and curiosity. We strive to build community and enrich social relationships. We also believe in the power and beauty of nature. We hold value in the important benefits it brings. Being outdoors brings increased happiness and reduces cortisol levels. We see better sleep, cognitive function and overall well being in ourselves. Here is a bit about our camp days: Drop Off is from 9am-9:30 and pick up is between 2:30-3 pm. During our days together at Hilltop Creative Summer Camp we will start our mornings off with free exploration, morning greetings, snack and an indoor creative activity. We will have outdoor time on neighborhood hikes and also will visit our local playgrounds and recreational areas Bernal Heights, Holly Park and St Mary's. Towards the end of the day we will gather indoors and will have an afternoon snack provided by Hilltop Creative. Our ration is 1:6and we do not go over 12 campers.
