Since then I've spent most of my life learing and playing, and touring as a drummer and chef. I have also taught over the years as time has permitted. Formal Education: I studied in the band programs in the Texas school system, first as a woodwind player, the switched to percussion. Marching during football season, Symphonic/UIL Season, jazz baND and stage band. Performing Experience: I've toured the US as a member of a jam band calley Organica, played live shows with multiple bands over the years. Right now I drum for The Retrospecs, an 80' cover band, The Anthony Wright band, a blues power trio, and Syrus, a power metal band Experience Teaching: Over the years, living in different states incling California and Washington, I've given private lessons whenever possible.

I have been a student of music for 26 years. My musical influences span all genres including pop, rock, RnB, funk, classical, folk, gospel, jazz, hip-hop, latin, and more. My teaching style can best be described as fun and methodical. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe anyone can learn to play music in a fun approach as long as they have the desire to learn.
