Pinnacle's School Year break camps offer a fun & educational outlet for your budding scientists/naturalists (grades 1-5). Our camps allow kids to continue learning during the days off from school, while having fun, exploring, and designing projects with our dedicated teachers. With lots of time outdoors and hands-on experiments, your children will forget that they're learning.

The theme for Thanksgiving Break is "Gardening, Gathering, and Gratitude." With the cold setting in, campers will harvest our final crops before we winterize the garden and cook with what we've collected. Campers can look forward to cutting kale, digging for potatoes, and Apple Tree Pinata. Any leftovers will go into mini-composting worm bins that campers will make and take home. We'll explore the Arboretum and Mud Park to see how animals are preparing for the winter, before we hunker down with what we've foraged to make centerpieces for the holiday. Time permitting, a nice Fall day wouldn't be complete without hot apple cider and s'mores around a campfire. Additionally with games like Peter Rabbit, Pig Pen, Turkey Hunt, and Fire in the Forest, campers will have a lot to be thankful for this season! Our camps allow kids to continue learning during the days off from school, while having fun, exploring, and designing projects with our dedicated teachers. During Winter Break, campers will help us celebrate the Winter Solstice and the promise of more light and warmth in the coming days. They will have plenty of opportunities to play both indoors and outdoors. Students will learn some basic Winter Survival Skills, including fire making, insulation, and shelter making.

Join us this Fall as we adventure through the "woods" at Potions & Dragons! An excellent intro to chemistry, Explorers will mix, pour, and ignite “potions,” all the while learning how scientists use the scientific method and lab tools. Drawing inspiration from myths & legends, Explorers will encounter color changing fairies, exothermic dragons, and elusive mermaids as they journey to break the Dark Wizard's Confusion Spell that has fallen over the land. Students will be picked up at dismissal before heading to play and experiment in the playground or explore nearby parks.

Trust the city with SEA in its name to deliver the freshest seafood tour this side of the Pacific! This brunch-hour walking food tour is designed to provide you with all of the classic seafood of the Pacific Northwest, including Salmon, Dungeness Crab, Oysters, Chowder, and Japanese Cuisine. The majority of this tour takes place sitting down in restaurants and includes less than a mile of walking in-between stops. We will introduce you to some of our favorite vendors in historic Pike Place Market, allowing you to sample the native flavors of the Pacific Northwest in the heart of its largest city. Seattle is not only surrounded by water and vibrant aquatic ecosystems, it is also a world-class distribution hub for seafood caught from up and down the coast. Why do salmon swim upriver? Do bridge trolls make good security guards? Does that scruffy man drinking a craft beer work on the shipyard, or in tech? Welcome to life in Seattle. For 3.5 epic hours, we pack in the greatest joys of the Northwest on foot! This tour pays visit to 2 breweries (under 21 allowed), 2 restaurants and 1 cafe inside the National Nordic Museum, all within walking distance from natural wonders, engineering marvels and a city's proud history. Food and Drink are included. Watch Salmon swim upriver to their ancestral spawning grounds with your own eyes! Raise the bridges (and the boats!) as they have for over 100 years. Cheers (Skal!) your new friends and eat fish off a stick like the Viking you always knew you were. Ballard is a short distance from downtown, accessible in 25 min by bus, <15 min by car, or 30 min by scooter/bike share. The tour includes a total of 2.75 miles of walking on mostly flat ground, but there is plenty of time in-between for rest.

Puget Sound was created when the area's glaciers began their retreat about 14,000 years ago, leaving behind intricate patterns of islands, inlets, lakes and shorelines. Enjoy the rich ecosystem of Puget Sound on this two hour kayaking tour. This is a great chance to see seals, sea lions, great herons and more. The route of the tour will vary based on recent sightings of local wildlife. Whether you want to drift among the bull kelp or paddle hard along the shore, this tour is for you.
