Experiment, Create & Explore the Wonders of Chemistry Step into the world of hands-on chemistry! Mad Scientists Lab gives teens the chance to explore structural chemistry, color-changing reactions, polymers, chemical engineering, and analytical tests through exciting experiments. Campers mix, build, and investigate real chemical reactions while discovering the science behind everyday materials and reactions. ***For Thales Academy Cary Students ONLY*** Participants will role-play the key responsibilities of a veterinarian and learn how to care for a cat. These future veterinarians will learn how to remove ticks, perform a nose-to- tail exam, understand proper animal nutrition and hydration, suture lacerations, and more!

***For Thales Academy Knightdale Students ONLY*** Keep your favorite player in the game! In our Sports Medicine School Club, students will role play the key responsibilities of a sports medicine physician through learning about cramping, Athlete’s Foot, why we sweat, hand and knee injuries, hydration, stretching, concussions, and more.

***For Thales Academy Raleigh Students ONLY*** Students will conduct an in-depth analysis of a sea turtle, learning details about different types of sea turtles and will even adopt their very own plush sea turtle. As a class, students will work together to rescue, rehabilitate and release a Leatherback sea turtle. The class culminates with the sea turtle release as the students graduate from Little Medical School as Little Marine Biologists.

This 2 hr. drop off class encourages curiosity and build self-confidence in your preschooler through art, science exploration, play and more. Teachers also read children's books that explore and nurture key social and emotional skills, engage in activities that require cooperation.

This class is for families with children getting ready for preschool, looking for socialization and a longer more structured class. During this class we will come together for morning circle, creative activity, free play and neighborhood exploration. The morning will end with a closing circle.

Get hands-on designing and testing awesome paper airplanes, building kites that soar, and constructing parachutes for safe landings. Welcome to Messy Art Lab’s MESSY MASTERS! ( 2 - 3.5 yrs old) Each week, little artists will dive into hands-on fun with handmade play dough, colorful sensory stations, and ONE creative main activity designed to ignite their imagination. The focus is on free exploration and messy play—squish, explore, and create at your own pace! They’ll learn how to design objects from scratch using professional-grade CAD software (TinkerCAD by AutoCAD - the same tool used by engineers and product teams), then bring those ideas to life using actual 3D printers. This is a hands-on, project-driven camp. Students don’t just watch or follow instructions - they design, iterate, and improve their creations throughout the week. From gadgets and tools to creative models and custom parts, students experience the full design-to-production process. What students will do: Learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling and CAD design Use industry-standard software in a kid-friendly way Design multiple original projects Watch their designs become real on a 3D printer Take home their printed creations Along the way, students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how modern products are actually made - skills that translate directly into engineering, design, and STEM careers.
