Join us for this 5 day Rebel Ceramics camp! Teen campers will be doing a combination of hand-building and pottery wheel projects, learning all about the clay body itself, the full ceramic process, different techniques, and glazing. Get those hands dirty, and doing a deep dive into problem solving skills while learning how to create with clay. Each week will offer different guided projects as well as some space for self-discovery. This camp is perfect for beginners, as well as returning students/campers to continue building on their knowledge and experience with ceramics. Please note that due to the nature of ceramics and the firing process, campers artworks will not be ready to take home on the last day, but will need to be picked up at a later date. We will reach out to notify parents when finished pieces are ready for pick up.

Camp Salamanda is a nature-based program designed specifically for children ages 3-5. We spend our days outdoors, exploring forests, streams, and meadows while learning about the incredible world around us. Through play, observation, and gentle guidance, young explorers develop curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of nature.

This combination class offers children a sampling of art projects using various media such as painting, clay, watercolors, collage, and pastels. It is amazing what you can create when you explore with your imagination. A variety of materials are used to create your many masterpieces – Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session & seasonal, so sign-up for all sessions.

In this all-day game development bootcamp, teens take on the role of an indie game designer and build a complete, playable video game from start to finish using the professional game engine, Godot. (Godot is open-source software, but offers comparable quality to Unity3D.) Campers learn how real games are designed, coded, and refined as they create gameplay mechanics, characters, levels, and user interfaces while working through the full development process. Throughout the week, students will write game logic using GDScript, implement physics and movement, design enemies or NPCs, and test their games through play-testing and feedback. By the end of the bootcamp, each camper should be able to complete a fully playable game and leave with a deeper understanding of real-world game development concepts. 13+ Recommended (but not required): Prior basic coding knowledge in Scratch, Coding 101, Python, or another programming language. Motivated beginners are welcome.

Soccer + "No camp" Camp is a recreational soccer & sports camp program, designed as a space where children can be comfortable, make lasting friendships, learn, and have fun. We mix up many sport activities beyond soccer, such as basketball, dodgeball, capture the flag, kickball, bowling soccer, tag games and more. We make sure to keep your child in motion by letting them choose their own activity, learn and develop new sets of skills and bring them into play. The "No Camp" part of the day is dedicated for free time. Your child will have the option to rest in the shade, read their favorite books and socialize. We respect the individual learning abilities of each child, as well as their personal space, and we strive to challenge your child in a fun creative way.

Dive into a magical week of sea life! From seashells and sandcastles to mermaids and starfish, campers will explore all the wonders of the ocean through hands-on creativity and imagination. This week, your child will bring home starfish sculptures, canvas paintings, and beautiful ocean-inspired illustrations—plus a few surprise seashell treasures we can’t wait to share! Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Discover Fun, Leadership, and New Skills at GrowFit Camp! At GrowFit Camp, kids aged 4-12 dive into a world of sports and games, discovering new athletic passions in a fun, supportive environment. For teens aged 13-16, our Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program offers the ultimate mix of leadership training, community service opportunities, and exciting gameplay with younger campers—all while boosting résumés with valuable experience! CITs work alongside camp counselors under the guidance of a trained coach, learning leadership skills and playing a variety of sports and games. CITs are technically campers, actively participating in all camp activities while building valuable leadership experience. The program is $30/day with limited spots available each week, requiring a full-session commitment. What to Bring: Water Bottle: Stay hydrated! Refill stations are available on-site. Shoes & Clothing: Comfortable athletic shoes and black athletic shorts or pants are required. Each CIT will receive a camp shirt to wear for the week. Food: Please pack a hearty lunch and a few snacks as CITs run around quite a bit during the day. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Youth ages 12-14 are invited to come and learn about urban farming, sustainable building, land stewardship, water conservation, and farm to table dining at our beautiful location at Hawk Creek Farm. By supporting the completion of special projects and daily farm care, youth gain direct experience acting as land stewards. Daily activities include farm care, composting, animal care, teacher guided exploration on a topic of their choosing, and the creation of special projects that help the farm! There will also be plenty of time for relaxing and socializing. The program runs from 12-5pm daily Monday to Friday. Early drop off is available upon request. Designed for students ages 10 to 12, the Expanded Fundamentals program bridges the gap between Fine Art Fundamentals and Advanced Exploration. It builds on foundational techniques while offering more opportunities for independent decision-making. Prior completion of Fine Art Fundamentals isn’t required, but familiarity with basic art concepts is recommended. All students new to Expanded Fundamentals will receive a notification to sign up for a one-time, prerequisite Online Form Class, which must be completed by the third week. This class teaches students about form, values and composition. If your child has already completed this class as part of Fine Art Fundamentals, they do not need to take it again. Lets get those hands dirty, and do a deep dive into some ceramic creativity! Note that our 4-7 year olds are hand-build only (not learning the pottery wheel). Please note that due to the nature of ceramics and the firing process, camper's artwork pieces will not be ready to take home on the last day, but will need to be picked up at a later date. HI-FIVE LITTLE BALLERS offers weekly basketball development classes for children 3-5 years old. Our program incorporates the game of basketball to help children build self-esteem, coordination, and more. The coaching staff is highly experienced when it comes to teaching tots sports. Bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes. Any classes that are missed you can make-up class during any age-appropriate class within the session. You can cancel your registration at any time, but you will only receive a credit for your remaining balance. There are no refunds just Hi-Five Credits

Individual goals are established and records of progress kept. A sketchbook is required for this class. This program does not require students to have prior art-making experience. Students new to ADEX are required to complete 3-4 prerequisite projects that introduce new mediums and the fundamentals of composition, color, and form. These projects also serve to familiarize students with the studio’s layout, proper setup and cleanup procedures, as well as essential steps in project planning. These prerequisites are completed at the students’ pace and typically take at least one session to complete.

We’ll teach basic fundamentals of a wide variety of sports and then assist and supervise as our campers compete in an organized and safe setting!! The house will be rocking with music playing throughout the day and a level of energy that will only be outdone by the amount of FUN being had!! Best of all, the unpredictable weather will never be a factor because we have an awesome indoor space, covered in state-of-the-art field turf!!
