We LOVE glow in the dark camp. SO many great options this week, from canvas painting, to ceramics, slime and more!

During this week campers get to enjoy a different ceramic and slime daily. Although there are options to take part in painting on canvas instead. ​ We know going home we so many slimes and ceramics can be overwhelming - so we have you covered. From fluffy slime to glow in the dark and snow slime - we will keep the campers day filled with exciting activities!

​​Furry friends make the best friends! This week we will be working in pencil, acrylics, ink, watercolor and clay! Join us as we make our way through the zoo and learn how to draw painting and sculpt some of our favorite animals.

Little Stars: Broadway Dance combines the magic of Broadway with a creative movement class that focuses heavily on creativity and helping young dancers discover new ways to move their bodies. Each class features music and activities that are inspired by a different Broadway Musical and designed to support fine and gross motor skills, imagination, rhythm, and body awareness while also introducing elements of formal dance classes such as a warm-up routine, “across the floor," and learning choreography in a fun, developmentally appropriate way. At the end of each session, Little Stars will get to show off their new Broadway moves in an Open House on the last day of class. Here at Stages, we believe that dance is for everyone! Fun & Flips Class is a beginner level gymnastics class for athletes who love to flip! Athletes will work on form, strength, flexibility, and be introduced to basic skills and terminology. Fun & Flips will give athlete’s the strong foundation needed to obtain more difficult skills in a fun and engaging way. Athletes will be working on: Building strength & flexibility Gymnastics body positions and correct form Tumbl Trak - Jumps, Body Control, Proper landing positions, Beginner tumbling Vault - Running and jumping on the springboard, body positions Floor - Intro to forward rolls, backward rolls, handstand starters, and cartwheel starters Bars - Grip strength, Chin holds, L-holds, Front Supports & more! Beam - Walks, Body positions, Into to turns, handstands, rolls, and cartwheels on beam Ropes & Rings - Swings, Holds & More!

Spend your vacation getting creative! Come on over to Studio on the Common for some nonstop, art-filled fun! We'll have a new project each day, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week (but we don't recommend signing up for the morning and the afternoon on the same day as the projects do repeat). With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast!

Give your child the gift of confidence and the joy of cooking! Our culinary program offers hands-on cooking lessons for budding young chefs. We learn more than how to follow a recipe at Lil’ Chef School. We utilize math, science, teamwork, creativity, and more. Children learn about cuisines of the world and enhance their experience with fruits, vegetables, herbs & spices while gaining confidence and experience in the kitchen that will last them a lifetime. Children will make 2 recipes each week and will get a tasting of the food they made at the end of class. Recipes are provided online.

The LEGO® Minecraft Class is an exciting and educational experience into the world of stop-motion animation production. Using LEGO® building sets based off of the Minecraft theme, students will stage their own scenes from a storyboard and take photos of the scene to tell a story. Then they will edit the images in the Frames 6 animation software where they will add effects, sound and more. Some of the features of the class include: Working in teams to collaborate and create animation projects for each day.A new and unique Minecraft theme for each day, including castle, cave and End worlds.Use of illustrated storyboards to plan out the narrative of the project Photography of the LEGO® sets in action to create slides for stop-motion animation Computer animation software to edit images using green screen, effects and sound Finished projects will be emailed to the parents end of the 6 weeks session. Through gesture, anatomy, and form studies, young artists learn to see the body from different perspectives and build the skills to create more natural, realistic figures. In some sessions, students will also have the exciting opportunity to draw from a live (clothed) model, gaining first-hand experience in observing the proportions and presence of an actual person. The class fee includes the cost of a vetted, guild-booked professional model. Some handouts may include artistic references of the unclothed figure for study purposes. All materials will be provided.
