PLEASE NOTE: This Family Music class takes place in our small classroom. Therefore, the class size is limited to 8 children only. This class is NOT on our playscape/playfloor. If you would like your child to have play time on the equipment, please sign up for a Play class. About the Camp Sports & Games: Each day, campers play 7 age-appropriate games that mix traditional sports with creative twists. Venue: Indoor fields, basketball & volleyball courts, plus an outdoor sand volleyball court. Hydration: Please send a labeled, inexpensive water bottle. Attire: Athletic clothes and shoes. For younger campers, include an extra change of clothes just in case. Refunds & Cancellations More than 1 month before camp: Full refund minus 10% fee. Within 1 month: Credit for future camp (non-refundable). Same-day or after start: No refund or credit. This policy applies to all Care.com registrations. After your 45-minute parent/child play class, add on this optional gentle separation time where children are engaged by expert teachers in social activities and brain games like puzzles, playdough and storytime. Class ends with celebration and the return of the adults, reminding children that adults always come back!

The club is for kids grades K-5 to learn yoga and mindfulness in a playful environment. Yoga poses are learned, games are played, and music is used to promote both laughter and stillness. Yoga has multiple benefits for kids including improved focus and concentration, increased self-esteem and self-regulation, improved core strength and flexibility, and an overall sense of calm and peacefulness. ***This course is ONLY for Grades 2-5*** Learn the basics and foundations of playing the guitar. Technique, scales, chords, melodies, and songs will all be covered. We promise to teach you as many real songs as possible! This class is a great introduction for students who might then proceed to a private teacher. We will get your hands picking, strumming, and fretting. An electric or acoustic guitar is okay (no amplifier required). Materials: Bring in a guitar you already own, or we recommend First Act guitars online as an inexpensive solution (starting around $40). You must bring a guitar. In this creative, engaging and hands-on class, students construct beautiful and high quality keepsakes. Everyone works on an individual bead design board and chooses from an amazing selection of beads (crystals, sea glass, ceramics, etc) lead-free charms and components. Each week will feature two new accessories including: necklaces, bracelets, hair accessories, purses, rings, bookmarks, wind chimes, keychains and many other fun items with an emphasis on Spring styles. Bring them to The Giggling Pig for a cozy, colorful, and joy-filled camp experience! Each day features new winter themed art projects.Kids will explore painting, sculpting, and mixed-media crafts in a warm, welcoming environment.

All children benefit from a space to be creative. Children are eager to explore different mediums, textures, and ways to express themselves. What to expect in class: Sculpt with playdough, create a collage, or experiment with different mediums. Build a giant tower with your classmates, and read stories based on our weekly theme! Physical Benefits: Working with different textures supports sensory input, fine motor, and gross motor skills. Cognitive Benefits: Creating your own work supports confidence and problem-solving skills. Social Benefits: Not only are children learning social skills by sharing a work space and creating with others, they are also able to express themselves through another outlet before they have the verbal capacity to do so. ***This course is ONLY for Grades 3-5*** Knitting is FUN AND CREATIVE, and the possibilities are endless. Beginning knitters will learn the basic skills of this enjoyable fiber craft: casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and casting off. In addition, students will be exposed to and learn how to identify different fibers and how to read the language of knitting in patterns. Project will be based on skills acquired in the class. No previous experience is required. Students are expected to bring class materials every class day (provided by teacher). Students are also expected to knit at home between classes. More knitting means more project options. What to expect in class: We boogie down with our babies, get up and dance, give them baby massages, sing them songs, and explore new physical challenges every week through teacher-led activities on the equipment. Explore tummy time from a new perspective or on a new texture, slide down slides on soft lambskins, or take a ride in a gentle swing! Play as a group and socialize with others! Sing songs, learn a routine, and PLAY! Benefits: Physical: Tummy time, crawling, and physical activity stimulate gross motor development, problem solving skills, and spatial awareness. Cognitive: Songs, rhymes, chants, and routines support language development, memory, and communication skills Social: Our classroom environment promotes social and emotional learning Adults: Learn ways to play with your busy crawler! ***This course is ONLY for Grades 1-2*** Children will learn basic Italian words and phrases as well as basic conversational skills. We'll also learn some geography and be immersed in cultural experiences, including singing, dancing, storytelling, crafts and games. Italian class for first graders would be lively and interactive, introducing basic Italian language and culture in a way that feels like a fun adventure. We'll also learn about landmarks, foods, and basic vocabulary words. Students will engage in greetings, simple songs, and hand motions to make the words come alive. The lesson could include learning how to say their names (“Mi chiamo...”) and practicing basic phrases like “Grazie” (thank you) and “Per favore” (please). Also includes some crafts. Through gesture, anatomy, and form studies, young artists learn to see the body from different perspectives and build the skills to create more natural, realistic figures. In some sessions, students will also have the exciting opportunity to draw from a live (clothed) model, gaining first-hand experience in observing the proportions and presence of an actual person. The class fee includes the cost of a vetted, guild-booked professional model. Some handouts may include artistic references of the unclothed figure for study purposes. All materials will be provided.

Fun & Flips Class is a beginner level gymnastics class for athletes who love to flip! Athletes will work on form, strength, flexibility, and be introduced to basic skills and terminology. Fun & Flips will give athlete’s the strong foundation needed to obtain more difficult skills in a fun and engaging way.
