Outdoor field games in local area parks, weather permitting. We spend the first and last hour of the day inside doing arts and crafts, STEM projects, and indoor sports such bowling and ping pong. The rest of the morning and afternoon we are outdoors doing field games and traditional camp activities utilizing local area parks. We are open rain or shine, during inclement weather and poor air quality days we spend more time inside doing crafts, indoor sports and other activities. Hot lunch and healthy snacks are included. There is a sibling discount of 20% for each child beyond the first.

Designed for students ages 10 to 12, the Expanded Fundamentals program bridges the gap between Fine Art Fundamentals and Advanced Exploration. It builds on foundational techniques while offering more opportunities for independent decision-making. Prior completion of Fine Art Fundamentals isn’t required, but familiarity with basic art concepts is recommended. All students new to Expanded Fundamentals will receive a notification to sign up for a one-time, prerequisite Online Form Class, which must be completed by the third week. This class teaches students about form, values and composition. If your child has already completed this class as part of Fine Art Fundamentals, they do not need to take it again. Studio Time can be used to develop new skills or strengthen current skills. All of our studio resources will be available to students during this time. **NOW 90 Minutes! More time to learn and play!** Parkour and More is a co-ed class designed to engage and encourage students to move with skill and intention and to have fun being active with peers in a playful way. Kids leave more regulated, less stressed, physically stronger, and full of joy! Who is it for? Parkour and More: Youth Two is best for athletes ages 9-12 regardless of experience and ability. We welcome all kids and will work with families to help each child succeed. This class is best for students who can join a group class without support and participate safely in a small group setting. There is a 1:8 coach to student ratio which includes the support of a skilled site manager and two trained coaches. What do we do at Playformance? Playformance Parkour and More classes feature a non-competitive discipline of movement and challenge. We focus on playful and creative movement that encourages athletes to overcome obstacles of all kinds with a playful and courageous mindset. Playformance students build foundations of strength, flexibility, balance, control, creativity, and discipline through a thoughtful and creative curriculum. Skilled coaches use games, obstacle courses, skill challenges, and much more to encourage students to fall in love with movement and an active lifestyle. We focus on building relationships and physical wellness in a welcoming and challenging environment. Athletes aim to get from one point to another in a complex environment in the fastest and most creative way possible. Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Our school year curriculum for ages 7 to 10 emphasizes form and composition. This program does not require students to have prior art-making experience. There is a one-time, pre-requisite Online Form Class each student who is just starting Fine Art Fundamentals must complete by the third week of classes. In middle school? Love working with kids? Join our Coach in Training Program for 12+ middle schoolers looking to develop their leadership skills and have fun with friends! This CIT camp runs parallel to our regular day camp. The CITs will get opportunities to coach and play with the campers in that program. What will they do? CITs get to help set up and plan the camp day and assist with running the games and activities for the campers. They will learn leadership skills, basics of child development, public speaking skills, and much more. Their confidence will grow as they are given opportunities to shine with the younger campers. Each week will also consist of several "CIT only" activities, games, and rewards. CITs will work hard and play hard! Each CIT is assigned to a skilled mentor/coach that will help support and encourage them as they learn to interact and play with younger campers. This duo sticks together and works as a team to make Playformance camp great. Open to responsible and enthusiastic people ages 12-15. Note: 12 - 15 year olds are welcome as campers as well and do not need to be CIT's in order to learn, grow, and have fun at Playformance Camp.

Give your child the gift of confidence and the joy of cooking! Our culinary program offers hands-on cooking lessons for budding young chefs. We learn more than how to follow a recipe at Lil’ Chef School. We utilize math, science, teamwork, creativity, and more. Children learn the world's cuisines and enhance their experience with fruits, vegetables, herbs & spices while gaining confidence and experience in the kitchen that will last them a lifetime. Children will make 2 recipes each week and will get a tasting of the food they made at the end of class. Recipes are provided online.

Class Description:
This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance their artistic process and growth. Who This Class Is For: Both new and continuing students. Teens ages 12-17 who are eager to create art more independently but want guidance, structure, and inspiration from a teacher. Students interested in experimenting with different art forms and techniques. Young artists who want to develop their skills and explore personal projects.

In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.
