Join our skilled teachers as they help facilitate your independent artistic development. Students with established creative skill and interest are welcome to bring their own concepts here to be brought to life with the assistance of an expert. *Excellent for high school students or adult artists that are working on their own projects or would like guidance on a new piece.

In this 8-week ceramics class, young artists will dive into the exciting world of clay! Over the course of 1.5 hours each week, students will learn the full ceramic process, from shaping their own creations to understanding how firing and glazing bring their work to life. Throughout the course, artists will explore a mix of hand-building techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinch pots, as well as beginning to learn pottery wheel skills; all while letting their creativity run wild. By the end of the class, students will not only have a collection of unique, personalized pieces but also a deeper knowledge of the craft, building a strong foundation to continue developing their ceramic skills in future classes. The class is designed for all skill levels, so whether it’s your child’s first time working with clay or they’ve already joined in classes with us, there’s always plenty more to learn and create. Let’s get messy and have fun making art! Due to the time extensive process of ceramics not all pieces will be finished by the last day of class. We will send an email notice within a couple of weeks of the class ending to let you know when pieces are ready for pick up.

Welcome to Footsteps Full Day Camp at Nesbit! **Enrollment is included with a minimum of 3 days per week enrollment. If you are not enrolled full time, please add the drop in fee listed on the extras tab** Full Day Camp at Footsteps includes fun and educational activities. The typical day includes indoor and outdoor choices with arts & crafts, games, sports, wheels*, gardening, and activity clubs. Two healthy snacks are included each day, optional pizza lunch is available to pre-purchase under extras for $8. Otherwise, plan on bringing a healthy lunch. *Children are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and other non-motorized wheels to ride during the day. Helmets and other safety gear must be worn, and children may only use the items they bring.

Calling all car lovers out there! During this session, children will build a new kind of car each week and learn the concepts surrounding it. For example one week might focus on a power car where children try different gear combinations and another week might focus on building a car with sails and learn all about wind resistance and its effect on speed. For particularly shy children who were not able to translate school into a social circle a soccer team provides an instant set of companions, and a way to experiment with interaction in a safe and healthy environment. Soccer offers a sense of self-esteem and well being children can develop as they see their accomplishments grow.

Designed for young artists who are ready to move beyond the basics, Art Club offers more time to explore techniques, experiment with materials, and take on thoughtfully designed creative challenges. Throughout the session, artists will work with a variety of mediums—including painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, clay, and more. We’ll begin building foundational art skills while encouraging personal style, creative decision-making, and plenty of imaginative exploration. Each project will be guided but open-ended, giving artists the freedom to make their work truly their own. This class is a wonderful fit for kids who love creating and are ready to develop their skills in a supportive, process-focused studio environment.

Each day, Lil’ Chefs will make a Turkey entrée, a side dish, and a yummy dessert. Lil’ Chefs will also learn knife skills, time management, working together as a team to complete each recipe, kitchen safety, and proper measuring of ingredients. Get ready to rock out and shine! In this high-energy class, dancers will learn the latest hip-hop moves while building rhythm, coordination, and confidence. We promote a healthy lifestyle through fun physical activity and creative self-expression set to upbeat, kid-friendly pop music. This is a performance-based program where dancers work toward a final rockin’ showcase in costumes for family and friends to enjoy. Dancers will get to keep their show t-shirt! Join the Riviera Hall Cheer Squad and get ready to jump, cheer, and show your school spirit! Students will learn fun cheers, spirited chants, and an exciting halftime dance routine using real pom-poms. This high-energy class builds confidence, teamwork, and leadership as students prepare to perform at school sporting events. New cheerleaders will receive their very own pom-poms to keep. Go Lions! PE 102 is a 90-minute class where students explore multiple sports in a fun, encouraging learning environment. This program is designed to keep students ACTIVE while they learn the basics of athletics and team sports. Each class includes: A dynamic warm-up and stretch Agility stations and skill-building drills Sport-specific units that cover rules, strategy, and fundamentals Classic, high-energy games like kickball, dodgeball, whiffleball, wallball, and capture the flag Our goal is to help students build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement—while having a blast with friends. Art lessons for ages 8-16 years old. 2-hr class. This weekly class is a great option for kids looking to move ahead with their artistic talents with a set curriculum with freedom of interpretation. Projects often run for 4 weeks to give students the extra time to create a really impressive piece with proper development. We typically start a new project at the beginning of each month. Recommended for ages 8-16. Dress for a mess! When school is out of session, send your child to Rachel’s Young at Art Studio for a morning of art-filled fun! Camp includes arts and crafts, story time, dramatic play, sensory activities, and lots and lots of fun! Each child will come home with a bag full of art relating to the day's theme. There will be plenty of opportunities to get messy during camp days!
