This program does not require students to have prior art-making experience. There is a one-time, pre-requisite Online Form Class each student who is just starting Fine Art Fundamentals must complete by the third week of classes. This class teaches students about form, values and composition. You will be notified to sign up for this class if this is the first time your child is taking Fine Art Fundamentals.

Satisfy your curiosity, and experience a fun and thorough introduction to throwing on the potter’s wheel. Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more in this exciting introduction to throwing fundamentals. Your instructor guides you through the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots on the wheel. Special handbuilding project and casting will also included. Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students any level experience on the potter’s wheel. Those who have more experience will complete more pieces/ advanced techniques. Those learning will master the basic skills to create wheel thrown pieces. Register for all classes, as we will build on experience of the students. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will showcase their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design. Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session, so sign-up for both June and July sessions. Our Last Class we will have student presentations the last 15 minutes of class. Please bring a bag and some towels, paper to wrap all of your treasures and take home.

CRYPTIDS AND CREATURES They may not be able to catch a picture of them in the wild, but you can capture them on canvas! Join us and create a painting of the mysterious Yeti or the elusive Big Foot! At this camp your child will paint their cryptid creature using acrylic on canvas board. Your child will come home with a completed work of art. Spaces are limited, register today. Help your child discover the love of music! Playing outdoors is such fun for children, and so very important, especially in our day. There are many sounds to hear, wonderful places to play and work, and room to move, move, move! Go outside with your child! In response to their incredible talent and determination, we now offer a Competitive All Sports Camp for our more experienced athletes aged 10 to 14. This camp is for players who are serious about their game and dedicated to increasing performance and success. Using a multi-sport approach, this camp provides participants the ability to cross-train in a variety of activities thereby reducing the result of injury and the risk of burn-out from single sport specialization.

Summer Semester (May-August) "Every child is an artist"-Pablo Picasso. This class provides classical instruction and skill building in art from a professional degreed artist. In this class your child will refine their fine motor skills as they learn to draw, paint, and sculpt, while also learning a little art history. Welcome to the Chocolate Treat Sculpture Camp! This week, campers will craft a box of chocolates using clay and various art materials. They'll learn to shape, texture, and color their sculptures to look like real chocolates. By Friday, all participants will box their finished, lifelike chocolate sculptures to take home. GLITTER AND GLOWING Join us for an afternoon of art that is fun, g, glowing and a blast of creativity! Your camper will spend part of their day in our Phenomenal Physicists Camp, where you'll become a junior physicist and conduct cool experiments, create and test your hypotheses. You'll even get to make your own Phenomenal Physicist goggles to wear during any of our explosive experiments. Our Phenomenal Physicists Camp is the perfect place to learn, create, and have a blast with fellow young scientists. The other part of the day is spent in: Mine, Craft, Build: Adventure Game using LEGO® Materials: Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® bricks. Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village! This experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or the LEGO® building system.
