Silver Spring Evening Child Care Jobs

We are looking to hire someone that can watch two kids as part of a nanny share: our 3. 5-year-old daughter and the son of our good friends, also 3. 5 years old. They've been playmates for a long time and were even in the same school class together before the pandemic. Starting as soon as possible, and going until June 11, we are looking to have someone here in our home in Silver Spring close to the Glenmont Metro (just one location, not both family's houses) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday to do all kinds of fun activities with them - crafts, music, sports, cooking, dancing, etc. - and to prepare their lunches and snacks. We can guarantee a 6 hour per day booking 5 days per week. We would prefer you to have a COVID vaccine or be willing to get one soon.

Our kindergartner is in his fifth month of distance learning. He is doing well, but needs supervision, so we are looking for someone to sit with him for his morning classes from 9-12, help keep him on task, and give him encouragement. We will also need you to take notes on anything the teacher says parents should know about, materials we will need to print, etc. He is in Spanish immersion, so proficiency in Spanish--or even the ability to understand some Spanish--is helpful, to better understand his teacher's instructions. Taking reasonable COVID precautions is a must (at our house and on your own time). We will expect you to wear a mask at our house, and limit your indoor contact with people you don't live with. Both parents work at home, and we also have a second grader doing distance learning, who is working independently.

We can be flexible on days and hours per day if needed. Sunday evening would also work. This position would be during pandemic 2020 and post-pandemic (hopefully!). Pay will depend on experience. We are seeking a nanny to keep up with a playful, energetic 19-month-old boy. He loves running around, laughing, and experimenting. Plenty of time outdoors is very important for our son, even as the weather gets colder. We are both teachers, who are working both from home and away from home, with our schedules liable to change with limited notice; the ideal candidate will be flexible given these circumstances. If possible, some help with our toddler's laundry would also be appreciated. Above all else, we are looking for someone who will have fun with our son while maintaining a safe environment.

Silver Spring family needs a full-time nanny. Must love kids! Our ideal match will meet the requirements below. Meal Preparation: Make Lunch and snacks for T., food will be in fridge/cupboard. Comfortable With Pets: We have a lazy cat who is on furniture etc. Can't be allergic to cats. Light Housekeeping: Load dishwasher after feeding kiddo, pick up toys/crafts after playing. Schedule Details: Our schedule is flexible and we can be accommodating for the right fit for our family. About the child(ren): I'm due with kiddo #2 at the end of August and we have a 2 yr old son T. (July birthday). T. is an energetic kid who loves to be outside and go on walks, paint, and read books. I will be off work for maternity leave until November but need help with my 2 yr old and then will want help with both kids when I return to work. We're making a transition from daycare to home this fall for safety reasons due to the virus. Please understand that if you aren't social distancing this summer then you won't be a good fit in our household as we're trying to protect our newborn from getting the virus until after they have an immune system. We will not expect you to wear a mask while in our home as we will include you (and obviously all your contacts) in our family bubble. We currently have no close contacts in our bubble and are looking for a like minded person with a small bubble to help us get our small children through the winter safely. We are an active family and would like someone who is interested in going outside even in the cold/snow and will play with our 2 yr old. The newborn care will be shared as mom and dad will both be at home all winter. As this is our first experience with a nanny/babysitter there will likely be some changes as time progresses. A good communicator is key as we'd like to have an open back and forth on what is working as things progress.

We are looking for a full time, live out nanny to start September for our 9-month-old girl. We are in need of care 40 hours a week, with flexibility required (occasional early mornings, evenings, and rare weekends). Additional responsibilities also include light house work (picking up after her, cleaning up after meals), food preparation, and folding and putting away her laundry. Only candidates who are first-aid and CPR certified, non-smoking, have own transportation, clean driving record, and willingness to have a background check will be considered. Are you interested in a full-time nanny position with an incredibly sweet child? Our 9-month-old is truly a ball of joy. He is a great sleeper, loves food, and is always on the move. We are looking for a nanny who will read, sing, and play with our son. A nanny who is comfortable with infants and experienced. If you do not have your own transportation then we would like to also offer a live-in position. We have been quarantined since March and do not even go to the grocery store. We wear masks and social distance, we want our nanny to also be safe, pay attention to hygiene, and good health.

Looking for a "date night" babysitter for our 1-year-old daughter. This would likely be 1-2 times a month, on a Friday or Saturday evening. This would not be an overnight job; we would be back the same night. We are flexible with the day/time! Responsibilities would include feeding her dinner, playing, and a bedtime routine: cleaning up toys, changing her diaper, reading a book, and giving her a bottle before bed. Weather/time permitting, she also loves to go on walks. We prefer the babysitter watch our daughter in our apartment. We live in Silver Spring, close to the Washington DC border.
