About

I offer infant to PreK care. I am willing to care for school age with younger siblings in my care. I offer lots of learning opportunities through play in a safe loving environment. In my care the children are not separated by age. I provide a familyatmosphere and would like the kids to feel at home. Language Development, Social Development, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Skills Literacy: letter recognition and sounds, story time, beginning reading skills, opposites, rhyming, handwriting Science/math: shapes, colors, number recognition, counting, patterns, simple science experiments Art: scissor skills, coloring, gluing, painting, open ended art, guided art, play dough Sensory box: water, sand, slime, rice, paper, dirt, etc Baking/cooking: once a week we make special goody or special healthy snack Outdoor: I have a large fenced backyard for kids to run, jump, skip, and hop in. Lots of balls, sandbox, trampoline with permission, climbing cube, and endless water play in summer. Infant/Toddler: provide safe place to roll over, crawl, walk, language development, stories, songs, rhymes, potty training, art and sensory exploration, independent play, provider/child play, set routine for each individual's needs Preschool/ PreK: provide all skills and development for kindergarten readiness! Schedule for outdoor play, snacks, lunch, activities, stories, songs, free choice, and nap. I am CPR and first aid trained. I have ECE credits and continue to research early childhood development and practice. I have 12 yrs experience working with children: 2 years babysitting, 2 years experience working with disabled children (learning and physical), 1 year experience being a teacher aide, and 7 yrs experience being a preschool teacher. I believe that children learn best through play! I look forward to meeting you and your child/ren!
