Well I tell ya, I have been dammed impressed with these people from Helpmates out of Fort Meade. Helpmates is the right name cause they helped me a hell of a lot, they done saved me bunch of money and helped my lungs. See I *had* been, I said I **had** been a paying an outfit I seen on TV called themselves Angels but  it weren't no Angels that come charging me what they did, I went dammed near broke keeping them paid. So some one said I tell ya Warren, you call Beth at Helpmates in Ft Meade, they come all the way up here to Polk City where I live. So okay then I call them and I be dammed if they didn't come in here and just take over everything for me. There is one of them girls that is a nurse and a dammed good one too I just might add, well I was having a hell of a time breathing that day she found some problems with my lungs says to me, why are you not taking this medication and that one and why don't you have a steroid? I said well Hell I don't know what to tell you. She ask me if I mind for her to call my doctor see if he can call me in some steroid to my pharmacy. Well, that's all it took. One of these gals went and got it the next day at walgreens and I have not breathed this good in 4 or 5 years. why in thee hell didn't  my doctor  have me on it in first place beats the hell of me. Now I been with this outfit for 2 months now and I told Nancy, Nancy is one of the ladies Beth gave me to help take care of me the other is Paula. I told Nancy, get me on that computer, I want to let people know how much yall helped me. I was payin 21 or 22 an hour and now these gals came in here and Beth set me up for half that and twice as much care and helpers.  Anyway, my helper here named Nancy that Beth sent me and I told her I wanted her to help me get on that world net and tell everyone about  Helpmates and how that Beth especially has helped me out.

I am forever thankful to Beth Mincey and Helpmates, they provided the MOST COMPASSIONATE and MOST AFFORDABLE CARE  we could ever imagined. For over nine years they cared for parents for OVER 9 years at ONLY 10 and 12 dollars an hour. 
  My parents were snowbirds and had moved to Lake Placid, Florida in the fall of 2003 to be near my moms only sibling who had moved there. Soon their dreams of (Sand and Sun) turned to a nightmare of sickness and disease. In 2004 dad came down with dementia and my mother became his caregiver, then tragedy struck again in 06 when mom came down with bone cancer and could no longer care for him. She hired a "national franchise" to come in at a whopping 20 dollars an hour, they didn't even clean for my mom, or take them to doctors or anything, they only helped with their baths and medications and prepared some microwave foods. I am the only child and  because of my job and my own family I could not relocate and so faced with sky-high prices for care, they would have to move back home for me to help with them. My mom was overwhelmed, not only were they dealing with all the illness but were forced to give up the Florida dream, leave her sister, and move back to the cold Ohio winters. I am forever grateful that our neighbor Ruth seen the (For Sale) sign going up and ask "why". When I told her about the rates we were paying and how mom and dad were going broke and how I had called EVERYWHERE and we just could NOT afford the prices, she went inside and brought me a purple card and said
"call this company, they took care of me when I fell last year and broke my hip" she said, "don't worry you (CAN)afford this company".  She said "it is owned by a nurse named Beth Mincey  out of a small town north of here called Fort Meade, call them". Reluctantly, I did. Beth came in and did a complimentary Nurse Visit and right away, she found SEVERAL medication errors in both my parents files. She assigned 4 ladies, two for day and 2 for night, she had the ladies clean my moms house spotless, she made appointments with doctor got all the medications strait, she got them both a wheel chair ordered, a hospital bed ordered, walkers ordered, wound care supplies for the bed sore my dad had got from the other company (and) she contacted the VA and got a case manager assigned to them and had a claim filed for them with them for assistance to help pay for their care because both my parents were veterans but my dad was a combat veteran of Korean War, but I NEVER knew that help was there or existed. Within a week or two, Beth and Helpmates turned my parents life Right-Side-Up again.. Within a month, I left for back home and the bed sore my dad got with that 20 buck and hour company was GONE! He was eating better and walking again and my mom was smiling again. I went back to my grandbabies and I was sad and I missed them but I knew they were in the best care. Helpmates took my mom for all chemo and radiation visits and gave their very best. Sadly, cancer came back and my mom passed in 2014 but the same girls stayed on with my dad. He just passed in May of 2015 and even then Helpmates continued to care for the family. Beth and Brenda brought food for us after both parents passed, and Beth went to my parents home and stayed with me after they removed my fathers body, just for moral support.  I would recommend them to anybody,
