Hi, my name is Amy and I operate a family child care home in Island Lake. I have a degree in Child Development/Family Living with a minor in Nutrition from Western Illinois University. I have been working with children in both day care homes and day carecenters since graduating from college. My most recent employment was the director of a day care center that was licensed for 80 children. Along with my directing experience I have also been a head teacher in classrooms with infants, preschoolers and school age children. I have raised 4 wonderful children of my own and had a family child care center when they were young. I am certified in both CPR and First Aid. The children in my care enjoy the loving home atmosphere that makes them feel like a member of our family. We have a busy day learning and playing with age appropriate materials including art and science activities. Nutritious snacks and meals will be served daily. I am looking for long term families to grow with my small business. I have worked with all age groups of children, but especially enjoy caring for infants. Excellent references available.
