Fun, Energetic, Experienced, Male Babysitter

Avg response < 1 hrs
Hi, I'm James! I am originally from Fargo, ND but have lived in Orlando for two years now. When I was 11 years old I became "babysitter certified" as well as certified in CPR and first aid, and I have been babysitting ever since. I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn to 14 years old. I have taken care of up to 6 children at a time of varying ages and I have always felt comfortable with the energy and effort it takes to take care of all of them. Kids tend to love me as well, and on multiple occasions I have heard from parents that their kids beg to have me back. While in Florida, I did the Disney College Program and worked at Animal Kingdom for 9 months, moved to a charter school for kids with special needs as an assistant teacher for 6 months and YMCA Learning Center for 12 months, and now work at an ABA behavior therapy center as a Registered Behavior Technician full time. I also maintain a current CPR/First Aid certification. I can't wait to meet you and your kids!

James was amazing with my two kids. two year old daughter and 6 year old son. he hired him as we where visiting Orlando and needed a sitter for a event we needed to attend. he came to our hotel room and watched kids in room. by the time we returned at 11pm both kids were fast asleep after having a blast with him! definitely would recommend and hire again when in town.

Texas Certified Teacher And Behavior Therapist Using ABA Principles

I am a Behavior Therapist and a Certified Teacher. 14 years experience creating and implementing social programs for children with autism and other disabilities. Focus of the program is to build social skills that are explicit and implied in a systematic approach that will give children the ability to build meaningful relationships with family, peers and the world. Curriculum is built on a scaffolding model which emphasizes joint attention, greeting, social play, self-awareness, conversation, perspective talking, critical thinking, using advanced language, developing friendships and appropriate community skills. Rethink Rejoin is a cognitive behavior strategy that helps students identify a problem behavior and find alternative ways to solve their negative behavior. In the Rethink and Rejoin environment, the student can make a positive behavior choice. And once the student is calm and able to make a positive behavior choice, an apology is given and the student can rejoin the group.

The title for my job post was Caring and Reliable. Ms K (Hazel) was exactly that and more! When my wife passed unexpectedly, I needed help with my teenage boys. I'm an airline pilot, so it was a unique challenge to find a full time, live-in care giver but for only half the week. Ms K was everything I could have hoped for. She looked after my sons for 2 years, and only recently left to move closer to her family. Ms K was never once late, and a great communicator with my unpredictable and constantly changing flight schedule. She took an active interest in my sons' education and even went to school events like "meet the teacher" and conferences. Ms K genuinely cared for and about my boys, and I don't know what we would have done without her. It's not possible for me to overstate what a Godsend she was to my family, and how much we appreciate her and miss her now that she's gone. I highly recommend Ms K (Hazel) to anyone who is looking for the best care giver for their loved ones.
