Hi, I'm James! I became "babysitter certified" and certified in CPR/First Aid when I was 11 years old, and I have been babysitting ever since. I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn to 18 years old, and up to 7 children at a time of varying ages. I have experience with twins/multiples and varying special needs. I also have experience with overnights/extended stay care! While in Florida, I did the Disney College Program for 9 months and have now worked in the ABA behavior therapy field for the last 6 years! I am a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, and spent the last 6. 5 years working in pediatric therapy clinics. I am also working on completing my M. S. in Special Education in Applied Behavior Analysis. I do work full time during the week, so my availability is primarily weekends and weeknight evenings for occasional care.

James exceeded expectations from start to finish. He kept us in the loop throughout the night with timely updates, managed everything with zero drama, and had both kids asleep by the time we got home. The real proof was the next morning when my kid woke up talking nonstop about how much fun they had with him. Reliable, communicative, and genuinely great with children. Five stars across the board.

James was great.  We were on vacation with a few families, so had 7 kids 😆 which was a big task!   Super responsive, and kept us updated with the kids and everyone had a great time!  

James did so well with my 3 year old son! He sent me updates throughout the day as well. He was very kind and would highly recommend! 

James is Awesome!! This was our first time using Care.com before this i was a stay at home mom and finding James has been a blessing for our family as I'm now back info the workforce!

We hired James to be our first sitter my kids had in a very long time (first sitter ever for my youngest) and he was friendly, punctual, and great with the kids. He followed the routine, kept everyone happy, and was a pleasure to use. We will definitely hire him again.

James was great! He took good care of my 18-month old for an evening while I was in town visiting my cousin. I appreciate his willingness to help out with only a little more than 24h notice. He was punctual, flexible, friendly and got along well with kiddo quickly while she was working through her "stranger danger" phase. His pay rate was reasonable as well. I would certainly recommend him to others!

I could write paragraph after paragraph about how wonderful James is, but it still wouldn't do him justice. He is hands down THE BEST! He is punctual, trustworthy, honest, hands on, caring, and so much more.

James made a fantastic first impression with not only me but with my son. I have never hired anyone to watch my son before, James was the very first, and he made sure that he set my mind at ease and calmed my nerves. He was always punctual and communicative, welcomed my check ins while I was away and was so sweet and patient with me as I got used to having him spend time with my little one. He worked with my son on his speech and language and helped with bedtime routines - everything was always calm and quiet when I would arrive home. He is an amazing asset for your kids and for your family and a wonderful friend. I would recommend him one million times!!

Going on vacation to Disney from Maryland and my husband and I wanted 1 day to ourselves in a theme park. We needed a sitter for our 2 sons, but knew with the history of our oldest son scaring off sitters mid-job permanently, we needed someone who could handle real challenges.  

From the first impressions of his profile, first message, reviews, and interview, James always left us more than impressed and ecstatic about him. James video chatted on 2 separate occasions with us and our boys before meeting in-person. When James watched our boys, he did not disappoint. Our boys had a blast with him but probably most important, our oldest respected James because of how James balanced fun and seriousness so well. When we came back early from our date, James had them in bed asleep by bedtime.  

When I asked my oldest his thoughts of James, he responded, "James was awesome!" A description he has never given to anyone before. Wish could hire James regularly - he's the best!

Me and my husband went on a quick trip to Orlando for spring break with our 6 month old. Oh my goodness! I was so impress! I would definitely hire him again when we go back! He is a baby magnet and my son wouldn't want to leave his lap! 5 stars for him!

We hired James for a date night situation. He came prior for an interview and instantly connected with our 18 month old son. He was very punctual and sent us updates throughout the night. He did a great job and we would highly recommend him for babysitting!

James experience and knowledge of the Disney World park system was very helpful and his work training in child behavior was a real bonus. 
He connected well with our 7 year old and helped us get a little quite time.

We traveled from Ohio to Orlando for vacation, did a video chate interview/meet & greet prior to, & decided to hire him without hesitation for the 2 days we needed an extra set of hands on our trip. He did not disappoint! He was communicative, professional, fun, punctual - all the things! We have three kids under 4 (4yo, 3yo, & 5mo), & I knew I loved him as a caregiver halfway through day one when "fun" James had no problem putting his foot down with my mischievous toddlers trying to take advantage of him, & showing them that while yes, he is fun, he is also in charge & follows mama & daddy's rules! I knew without a doubt at that point that we had made the best decision in choosing him among so many applicants. In the middle of a vacation, I needed to attend to some work, and James took care of my four children in the evening at a hotel.  That's right.  He came to the hotel room and somehow kept four children (ages 9-4) happy.  He brought games, kept them entertained, and was simply amazing.  I would be thrilled to be able to secure his services again should I ever be in Orlando.  My children, like so many other children in these reviews, wanted to keep him as part of the family afterwards.  I cannot thank James enough for all of his work.  He even swept the hotel room where they ate dinner!  A gem.  James is amazing.
