Autism Behavioral Skills Trainer
Avg response < 4 hrs
As an Autism Behavioral Skills Trainer, my job is to take the individualized programs created by BCBA's and to implement them in a way that is unique to each child. The job focuses on two main types of training strategies: Discrete Trial Training and Natural Environment Training. Discrete Trial Training is comprised of three elements: antecedent stimulus, child's response, and a teacher provided consequence. Natural Environment Training focuses on the child's integration of skills learned across various environments. My job is to go into each client's home and work with the child in order to produce socially functional behavioral changes. The common goals of applied behavior analysis include: increasing and/or decreasing behaviors, strengthening the quality of a behavior, and eradication of problem behaviors.

And Teacher's Aide For Autism
I have been working with kids with autism for 15 years now and I feel like I can never stop learning something new from them. The first thing I thinking very important is to learn their personality, because they are people too. if you take time to know them and understand them it makes your life and theirs so much easier. then you can figure how you can teach them. Play with them, etc.

Experienced Autism Therapist
I have a strong passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum. In this field, I get to play detective in figuring what motivates an individual to share his/her passions with me so we can learn together. I have experience in school, clinic, and home settings. However, I enjoy working in the most natural setting; the home. I have education in verbal behavior, ABA, and Son Rise. I absolutely enjoy working alongside with the parents/caregivers. I feel it is very important to focus on what is important for both the child and the family's needs. Every family lives a different lifestyle from one another. I will try anything in terms of activities, at least once. I have taken children out in the community to restaurants, amusement parks, nature centers, science centers, pools, you name it! I love to dance and play soccer in my free time, and I like to encourage the individuals I work with to be active in some way as well. I can't wait to meet you and your family, thank you for your consideration!

Experienced Autism Nanny
Hello! My name is Jessica, I am 21 years old and about to enter my senior year of college, studying Special Education. This past school year I had the honor in working as a tutor for a local Christian school's autism unit. I worked one on one with students tutoring them and helping teach them life skills. I absolutely LOVED it. I have been in child care since I was 13 years old! I have served families in various capacities including group babysitting, full time nanny, nursery worker and tutoring. Most of the jobs included cooking, cleaning and driving. I have been a part time nanny for four summers in a row, and fill my free time with other babysitting jobs and volunteering in my church nursery. I love adventure and having fun! I am responsible, punctual, and dependable. I am extremely loving and take the initiative, so I will make sure your children and your home is taken good care of!

I Have a Lot of Experience with Autism!
I grew up with two of my cousins, who both have very low functioning autism. When I was 14, I started babysitting for them every weekend. They are now ages 9 and 11. They both can't talk, but most of the time I know what they are trying to say. I have created and shared multiple PowerPoints in school about autism. I have a lot of patience and I am willing to learn new ways to take care of one's child with autism. My neighbors also have special needs. One of the three was born 3 months early and one is completely deaf. I have been babysitting them since I was 13. I am always willing to learn new things if I just have someone to help me.
