My experience with special needs started with my position as a direct care provider at an adult foster care home. I cared for many ladies with Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism. My current job is caring for two boys who are both on the severe end of the autism spectrum. I have been with this family for the past 4 years. Before I cared for them I always had a special place in my heart for children with special needs. And after these 4 years I've become very passionate about Autism. It has been a huge part of my daily life. I've had the opportunity to obtain loads of information by working with behaviorists and ABA therapists who come to the home.
