Compassionate Companionship & Support For Your Loved One

(1)
I'm a writer by trade who became a full-time caregiver to parents with Alzheimer's and dementia, and am publishing a book to help others deal with the spiritual side of the experience. For my parents, I did everything from medication management to bathing/diaper changes, nutritious meal prep, hospice care to home preparation and more. I understand how difficult this process is, and the experience left me with great compassion for the elderly. Since my parents passed, I worked as a caregiver to a cancer patient who is currently in remission. I'm also a certified yoga instructor who teaches a gentle, heart-centered practice focused on breath work. CPR trained. Practical, focused and calm, I bring peace to your loved one's life. Am also available for respite care.

Maria has worked for my family for the last 18 months as a part-time caregiver for my father, who has Alzheimer's dementia. In that time, she has made herself indispensable to us by taking an extremely thoughtful, sensitive and observant approach to his care and his disease process. She took initiative by taking over tasks such as grocery ordering and menu preparation, which was a huge weight off my shoulders, and is an absolutely marvelous cook. She is extremely intelligent and can be trusted to handle any task with minimal guidance and utmost competence. We have to switch to live-in care for my father for financial reasons, which is the only reason we are parting ways with Maria. I am very grateful to her for her compassionate care and guidance.
