Mom is generally active, enjoys conversation, shopping, and rides. Due to mild dementia, Mom has some memory challenges resulting in repeating conversations, needing reminders and reassurance. She underwent bowel repair surgery due to severe diverticulitis last week, and will have a colostomy for at least 12-16 weeks. She will be returning home from the hospital in a weakened state. She will need physical and personal care assistance in the meantime. She has diabetes controlled with oral medications and diet. She is generally pleasant but has periods of confusion at times. Looking for personal care aides with training or experience with senior and personal care including colostomy care, medication management, and meal prep.
