Part Time
About who needs care: My mother is severely depressed from being in her 80's and losing her independence. She was a nurse for over 40 years helping other people and never got sick, but recently diagnosed with bladder cancer and has incontinence issues. She is also in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's Disease. She does not require a lot of "care" at this time, but needs someone to be there in the home, especially in the mornings to get her out of bed, make sure she takes her meds and gets breakfast. While there, light housework is needed and activities to help her get her mind off of herself.
About the care needs: The ideal candidate should like small dogs, be very patient and can handle a strong independent personality and have experience working with the elderly and memory loss. This person would also be willing to do more tasks as time goes on and as needed. They would be able to prepare meals, do some light housework and plan fun activities within the home.
Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
