Burke Personal Assistant Jobs

Seeking full-time caregiver for 12-week-old infant. Position based in Burke, VA. Both parents work full-time (one at home) with busy but flexible schedules. Older brother (5) attends school from 8-4 p.m. Ideal candidate is experienced infant caregiver with strong communication skills, quick and creative thinking, knowledge of infant development and attachment parenting, and ability to keep up physically with a growing infant. Anticipated hours are 9am-5 p.m. daily but may be negotiated with agreement of both parties. Hours may range from 35-40 weekly. Compensation commensurate with experience. Must be OK with payroll service for payment. The position will involve occasional care (with parental assistance) of 5-year-old brother. Candidate must be comfortable having two small dogs around.

We are looking are looking for morning assistance getting our youngest son to preschool. This would require your own reliable car and all proper licensing and insurance. We would prefer someone who is comfortable with pets as we do have a dog. We would need in home care while our youngest and middle son finish getting ready for school, cleaning up after breakfast and transporting our preschooler. Our other child does not need transportation. This role would be 7:45 to 9:00am, Thursday mornings. It would include in home care and transportation to the preschool which is approximately 7 minutes away. This position will change as school quarters progress. At the moment it is only Thursday mornings but will change at the end of February.

Caregiver/Companion for non-speaking autistic teen in central Arlington. You will assist with personal care as needed (dressing, toileting, grooming) and teaching or assisting with other ADLs. Prepare food/drink as requested. Create and reinforce routines or chores, support and enforce use of AAC device ("talker"). He enjoys music, books, walks, fast food and the iPad. Patience is a must. You should be kind but unflappable. Please be comfortable with pets. Salary is paid through the agency (around $16. 50/hr) so must fill out paperwork with agency). Hours are 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays and flexible Sat/Sun.

We are looking for short term help during the month of December, especially Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings and some afternoons until dinner (open to various babysitters for different days). You will be here with me, the mom, to initiate play with our 6-year-old, 4-year-old, 2-year-old or 9-month-old while I engage with the others. Our 6-year-old is healing from a hip injury and cannot currently walk, so we are hiring someone to help me both with the kids and basic household tasks (dishes, laundry). We are looking for a babysitter who has their own car, who does not smoke and who is CPR certified. We are Christians and desire someone who shares our values. I envision you doing crafts with my 4 and 6-year-old while I engage my 2-year-old and feed our 9-month-old for example.
