About who needs care: Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and is also diabetic. Does not need a strict diet. Is confused often but pleasant and cooperative. Incontinent, needs incontinence care and depends changed, max assist for transfers to bed, chair, etc. Needs hands-on assistance to dress. Is able to feed self with set up and reminders.
About the care needs: She is confused and not extremely conversive and even when conversive, it doesn't always make sense. She is sweet and easily agreeable. She likes to watch TV, especially game shows, and enjoys the family pets-dogs and cats-if the cats decide to come out to visit.
My father is her primary caregiver at all times. He needs a couple of days that someone reliable, responsible and attentive to her care can stay for several hours so he can go to the doctor, grocery and occasionally assist with taking her to appointments. He is very set in his care requirements for her but not unrealistic in his expectations. The person would need to be a knowledgeable and experienced caregiver.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
