Patient And Energetic Nanny

I'm an older sister of five and aunt to two under the age of four. I've loved childcare as long as I can remember, and have experience with many ages through the years. While I don't have professional childcare training, I have life experience, interest, and have always made myself available for families with babysitting needs. I am committed to caring for each child so they are safe, healthy, happy, and growing during the time you can't be with them: to this end, I am Child and Baby First Aid/CPR certified. I'll maintain the parenting style you've decided is best for your child or children, and give them the learning-through-play with which children thrive. I'm happy to take on additional tasks, and I'd like to provide the opportunity of a fun and understanding caretaker.

Melissa is exceptionally kind and nurturing with children and babies. Her delight and enthusiasm shine through when she is interacting with a newborn, a toddler, or an older child. She is experienced and adept with everything from changing a diaper and soothing an infant, to setting clear and loving boundaries with a toddler, to engaging a preschooler in imaginative play. Melissa is highly dependable, reliable, responsible, and honest. Melissa has spent a significant amount of time with my daughter (almost 3) from the time she was six weeks old and I have always felt like my daughter was receiving the best care and nurturing possible. I greatly appreciate her conscientiousness and commitment to open communication about parenting/care styles.

I have cared for children from newborns to 10+ years old. I also have the experience with twins. I make myself responsible to playing, teaching, entertaining and do whatever pertains to the child/children's needs (preparing meals, laundry for the child/children). I take them to classes and or play dates, park trips, libraries etc. My experience doesn't just stem from being a Nanny, but I am mom to a beautiful, highly energized, most caring and loving 11-year-old, 6th grader. The last 6 years, I've had the opportunity to care for three girls. I started when the eldest was just shy of 3 months. Now they are 6y/o, 4y/o and 19 months. I, was previously with a great family for 10 years. I was caring for two boys, 10 and 8 years old. I started when the eldest was only 8 weeks old. My job started off being a basic nanny and as the boys grew, it changed according to their needs. I helped potty trained both boys. I helped them with homework, etc.

Our family has been incredibly lucky to have Vanessa guide our kids and grow with us for 6 years. Our children learned from her, and we as parents have too. Our greatest hesitation with moving was losing her. She works to be on the same page from a discipline and activity perspective and we completely trust her. Rather than an employee she is a partner providing ideas and reinforcing what we find most important. She is organized and balances the kids' busy schedules while leaving our place neater than she found it. Before Covid she would go to the park, play dates, museums etc. On rainy days they play games and make crafts. She brings incredible patience, a good attitude and has NEVER called off in 6 yrs to leave us scrambling for last minute child care. As parents the most important thing is having someone we can rely on, trust, and our kids love. Vanessa is that person. Our entire family will greatly miss her positive influence in our lives.
