Former K8 Teacher Looking For Date Nights Jobs (Possibly Summer Nanny Job Too)

Quick heads up: I am not available for early morning or after school positions. I am looking for tutoring positions. My background covers K-8 Math, English & Social Studies. I love children. I am the eldest of three and had a number of babysitters and nannies growing up. Because of this, I know the value of a great babysitter. My childhood nanny will be invited to my future wedding. She is in part responsible for who I turned out to be. I do my best to emulate her and think about Veda when I look after children. I can cook, clean up, swim and help with homework. I am a college graduate (Emory) and have my own car. I do not smoke and have a good driving record. I want kids to have a good time and be safe when parents allow me the privilege of taking care of them. I have current Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearances and can provide them for long-term families. I used to be a 5th grade teacher in Maryland and taught Sunday School for 7 years.

Jessica did an excellent job tutoring my son who was in 7th grade at that time. She was always prepared and worked hard with him on his school assignments. She has a lot of experience tutoring kids and she is a very gifted teacher. Also, she was a summer nanny for 2 months with our family and arranged kids activities, prepared meals and drove the kids to different fun places. On a personal note, Jessica is very kind and fun to be around. She became a part of our family. She stopped working for us when our kids switched schools.

I began tutoring students during the summer of my sophomore year in high school. I began tutoring students on the elementary school level in math and reading. Upon graduating high school, I attended Francis Marion University. While there I received a bachelors' of Science in Middle school Education English and History. During college, I worked at the local YMCA as a kindergarten after-school counselor and a one on one tutor for children with severe ADHD. As a special needs teacher assistant, my job consisted of working with students with learning disabilities. I have currently been working in Charlotte Mecklenburg school district for the past 7 years as a middle school teacher. I am currently in school to receive my English as a second language certification. Teaching and tutoring is my passion and I am here to help.

Professional and Flexible care! I am a CMS teacher and I hired Melanie during the transition from remote teaching to hybrid learning. She was extremely flexible with the district's continuous changes and worked with me on providing care for my two young children. She was very punctual and dependable for the 7-4pm M-F shift I needed. I really appreciated the energetic supportive care taking she provided for my young children. Melanie created lessons suitable for preschoolers and always incorporated learning that encouraged independence. Her experience as a certified teacher was definitely apparent in her daily professionalism. We enjoyed Melanie in our home very much. I highly recommend her services!
