Seeking care for my mother in her 90's. Services needed: companionship, help staying physically active, mobility assistance, transportation, errands / shopping. Specialized care needs: CPR/first aid training. Female caregiver preferred. A little more about my mother: she can be anxious, pleasant, outgoing, independent. My Mom who is normally active is now suffering from sciatica and plantar fascitis, so she is in a lot of pain and using a walker which she hates!!! She is an independent living facility and needs a companion to talk to and to help her with some errands and some everyday tasks. She is a bit anxious because of the pain. Otherwise she is in good health and still mentally sharp. I'm looking for someone who is patient. The ideal caregiver needs to be willing to engage her in conversation, have loads of patience and have solid experience working with seniors. My Mom is frustrated that she cannot go out as she used to because of the pain. It would be good though to take her on walks outside. She does not want to do this alone.
