My son is in 8th grade and since his pre-Algebra class at school was cancelled, we have been trying to teach him math at home. We are really struggling to help him understand the concepts and to get him to retain what he learns. One problem is that we are having to relearn it ourselves in order to teach him, slowing down the process. We need someone fluent in Algebra and great at supporting struggling learners who don't love the subject. He has ADHD, so experience with students with attention challenges is preferred.
