Wild Lime Adventures provides the only tour that combines an airboat ride in the Everglades with a tour of Little Havana. Two exciting activities in a part day! Enjoy both of these iconic South Florida spots and still have time to go to the beach! We will start our day with a narrated scenic drive to the Everglades. Your guide will identify the local flora and fauna and will inform you about the history of the Everglades and the current challenges facing this unique ecosystem. You will then take a 60 minute airboat ride out on the Miccosukke Indian reservation. You will learn all about their history and culture and will be able to explore a native tree island village. We only use small personalized airboats. NO cattle call airboats! After time in the "Glades", we will depart for Little Havana. Your guide will share the special history of the Cuban exile community. This is an after school film class for Annunciation Day School. Local filmmakers will train the students in camera operations, lighting, film crew management, and producing. Kids will work in teams to develop and produce their own movie, music video, or TV show.

This is a self drive activity, meaning you would need to handle your own transportation to and from our location. Dinner reservations start at 8:00pm for this activity, and included in your booking is a 3-course meal at Latitude 65. Alcohol is not included, but is available for purchase, as are additional add ons and appetizers.  After dinner, you can relax in our lounge space and utilize our free wi-fi while you wait for the Aurora Borealis to make an appearance. At 10pm our staff hold a nightly presentation discussing the science and folklore behind the northern lights, which is a free presentation.  When the aurora makes an appearance, our staff will inform you where to look! We also offer additional photography sessions at $60 per person.  The yurt closes at 2:00am, which is when you would need to depart the property.

This tour is designed for kids and adults, and we welcome all skill levels, from beginner to advanced kayakers! You will be guided on a two hour tour through the mangrove tunnels where the guide will share important information about the local ecosystem and history of the area. While paddling through the peaceful serene waters that make The Rookery Bay and the Ten Thousand Islands ecosystem, you will encounter different species of birds and small creatures that live in this pristine subtropical mangrove forest estuary. Rookery Bay National Estuarine Reserve represents one of the few remaining undisturbed mangrove estuaries in North America. At the end fo your tour you will receive the pictures that guide will take during the tour! This tour allows guests 4 years of age and up.
