Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Welcome to the wonderful world of cartooning and animation! This fun class lays the foundation for many art skills. The joy of drawing cartoons provides a vehicle for also learning drawing basics. This is a digital drawing class. This is an ongoing course that provides new projects each week to challenge and guide your child's artistic abilities. Each student receives individual attention to emphasis their natural strengths and help in areas they need to improve. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This is for kids and teens that want to learn perspective, shading, and other foundational skills in drawing. Students learn drawing techniques that will make their pictures look 3-dimensional, a foundation for strong drawing skills. This is a basic drawing class meant for beginners, though anyone wanting to strengthen their drawing skills would benefit from this class. These tricks and techniques will make this complex skill something easy for you to be able to do. This course ongoing so you can join at anytime and start building those drawing skills. The projects are engaging and cover critical skills. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Spend your vacation getting creative! Come on over to Studio on the Common for some nonstop, art-filled fun! We'll have a new project each day, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week (but we don't recommend signing up for the morning and the afternoon on the same day as the projects do repeat). With a creative mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media projects it's sure to be a blast!

*Mid-session registration: If you are signing up AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF THIS SERIES OF 8 CLASSES, email info@marvegos.com about a possible project conflict before you arrive for class.* This digital art class introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing and painting using Procreate on their personal iPad. Through hands-on lessons, students will learn how to navigate the interface, use brushes and tools, and apply digital techniques to create original artworks. The course is designed to build a strong foundation for students interested in developing their digital art practice and a small class size means kids will get plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one support. What to Bring to Class: iPad (9th generation or newer recommended for best performance) Apple Pencil Charger Because this program is offered on a limited basis, make-up classes are not available. Please be sure your child can commit to the full 9-class series before registering.

This Middle School Class is perfect for an after school Art Experience. We will complete roughly 1 project each day- :) Includes all sitting fees, materials and glaze/ studio fees. Yes- You can bring a snack to class & eat before we begin.

During this inspiring week of camp, we will be exploring the world of illustration. Campers will work with ink and pencil while learning foundational drawing techniques such as shading, line work, and composition. Students will be encouraged to develop their individual style and will practice turning their ideas into beautifully illustrated artworks. Even if we’re not near the ocean, we can still bring the beach to us! This fun, hands-on week is inspired by sandy shores, rolling waves, and ocean treasures—no travel required. You’ll create beach-inspired art using a variety of materials as you build sandcastle sculptures, design colorful seashell creations, and explore textures, shapes, and patterns inspired by the sea. Through drawing, painting, building, and crafting, you’ll experiment, play, and imagine what a day at the beach might look and feel like. Each day brings new projects and plenty of time for creativity, storytelling, and imaginative play in a supportive, playful environment. By the end of the week, you’ll have a collection of sunny, seaside-inspired artwork to take home and share. Perfect for young artists who love to create, explore, and imagine oceans near and far!

Let’s practice our drawing techniques with this Beatrix Potter inspired mouse! Potter was a popular English writer and illustrator, responsible for classic stories such as “Peter Rabbit”. This week we are mimicking her whimsical style to draw an adorable mouse. Students will get to practice line and form to set up a successful composition with a distinct background and foreground. They will also learn valuable cross hatching techniques to express value and light.

Explore different media like sculpting, painting, collaging, and drawing. Enjoy imaginary and dramatic play time, all while cultivating creativity.

Advanced Art Open Studio Thursdays, 4:30 – 6:30 PM This open studio class is designed for advanced art students who are ready to take creative control. Over several sessions, students will choose their own mediums and develop independent projects with the guidance of an experienced instructor. Whether working in drawing, painting, mixed media, or sculpture, students are encouraged to explore personal themes, experiment with materials, and refine their artistic voice. This is a supportive space for focused, self-directed work and constructive feedback.

Learn step by step drawing skills used to create anime characters. This class takes a look at what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. Campers choose their favorite pokemon to sculpt at this camp making them as adorable as can be in the popular kawaii art style.
