Summer Semester (May-August) This is for kids and teens that want to learn perspective, shading, and other foundational skills in drawing. Students learn drawing techniques that will make their pictures look 3-dimensional, a foundation for strong drawing skills. This is a basic drawing class meant for beginners, though anyone wanting to strengthen their drawing skills would benefit from this class. These tricks and techniques will make this complex skill something easy for you to be able to do. This course ongoing so you can join at anytime and start building those drawing skills. The projects are engaging and cover critical skills. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Our Pottery Classes at The Atelier School of Art provide a hands-on experience in clay sculpting and ceramics, tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Younger students (ages 6 and up) will focus on basic hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, coiling, and slab construction, helping them develop foundational skills in working with clay. Older students will have the opportunity to explore more advanced techniques, including wheel-throwing, glazing, and surface decoration. With guidance from experienced instructors, students will create unique, functional, and decorative pieces while learning about form, texture, and craftsmanship. Whether learning the basics or refining their technique, students in our pottery program will gain confidence, creativity, and an appreciation for the art of ceramics in a fun and supportive environment!

The Kids' Digital Animation class at The Atelier School of Art is a one-hour session for ages 8-11, introducing young artists to the basics of animation using iPads and Procreate Dreams. Students learn frame-by-frame animation, timing, motion, and character movement through fun, engaging projects. This class encourages creativity while teaching essential animation principles, helping kids bring their drawings to life in a dynamic and interactive way.

We are offering 11 different art camps/ new curriculum for Art Camps this summer. Art Camp at All Things Art Studio is the best way to experience total immersion in a summer art program! It's fun & and students get a chance to delve into their creative selves without crazy time restraints. Students will also get to Tie Dye an All Things Art Studio Camp Shirt (or other item for repeat campers) on Day 1! (included in the fee of camp). In the mornings, they will be working on individual projects, and the afternoon art academy will give them a relaxed but focused exercise in fine arts. There will be landscape drawing and painting, and still life exploration. We explore drawing, clay, printmaking, textiles, weaving, watercolor, acrylics, tempera paint, glazing & more! We will work with canvas, clay, watercolor, tissue paper and many other types of medium as well. Every camp is a different curriculum, so please register for as many as you can :) It's an amazing week for students, they meet and make new art friends and enjoy the warm summer weather. Bring a sack lunch each day and a water bottle, We will have outdoor lunch & walk in the neighborhood- plus outdoor "en plain air" instruction in their daily journal/ sketchbook. Bring it on! Some of our Elementary, Middle School and High School groups will be offered at the same times & days (convenient for families with older & younger children). But the Camps will be separated by the groups and have different curriculum and locations within the studio. (MS/HS have a seperate registration with separate curriculum)

Perfect for curious creators, this week-long camp lets young artists explore a little bit of everything! Each day features a brand-new project in a different art medium, giving children the chance to experiment, discover what they love, and build confidence in their creative abilities. Campers will dive into painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, mixed media, and more—no two sessions are the same! With guided instruction and plenty of room for personal expression, kids get to try a wide range of techniques, tools, and materials in a fun, relaxed environment. By the end of the week, each child will have a diverse collection of artworks and a better understanding of all the exciting ways they can create. By studying multiple object composition, line and air perspective, as well as color mixing, students learn to depict multiple three-dimensional objects and build a solid foundation for future artistic study. Our academic method of teaching will open the eyes and minds of aspiring artists to see the myriad of colors and tones in everyday objects. With these foundational skills, students will learn techniques to express their creativity. Classes alternate between Drawing and Painting on a weekly basis. All skill levels welcome. Students will learn to draw and paint multiple objects as a group taking into account proportions, depth, structures, along with light and shadows. Using acrylic or oil, students will flex these core principles of composition to attain the freedom to draw and paint three-dimensional still-life, landscapes and fictional paintings. Procuring painting and drawing materials are the responsibility of each student, but we are of course happy to advise which ones we think are best.

The world of making your own clay creations! This class will teach you how to create several hand-built clay pieces. Students will be introduced to Kiln firing, and procedures, as well as stages of clay: Wet, Greenware, Bisqueware, and more. Each student will custom glaze each project, and have all pieces fired in our kiln. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will present their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design.

CREATING CHARACTERS Join us for art that is fun, hands on, and a blast of creativity! At this camp your child will create a miniature sculpture inspired by their favorite sanrio character using polymer clay which is baked and cooled and then painted all at camp! Their sculpture can be turned into a keychain or charm. Your child will come home with a completed work of art.
