This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. We are opening up our After-School Art Enrichment Program to drop-ins for the Early Release Day for a special rate of $90. IMPORTANT NOTE: Because your child is "dropping-in" to our After School Program we MUST have a set of enrollment forms completed for Drop-In eligibility. These health and safety forms are a state requirement. The good news is once you complete the forms for the year, you are set for all other drop in programs that come up in 2026-2027. On Early Release Days (when the children arrive at 11:30am), we ask you to please pack a nut-free lunch for your child. We do not provide lunches. PICK-UP by 6pm: At pick up time, please use the Art Studio door. You may pick up your child at any time during the program.
