During drawing and painting, your child will learn the basics of drawing and painting. Our intermediate and advanced students will build upon previous skills and work on longer-term projects.

Spring Semester (Mid March-May) "Every child is an artist"-Pablo Picasso. Discover the artist in your child! In this class your child will refine their fine motor skills as they learn to draw, paint, and sculpt, while also learning a little art history. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

In this inviting 3-day art workshop, students will explore the beauty of gardens and backyard environments through a series of nature-inspired art projects. Drawing inspiration from birds, butterflies, flowers, and outdoor spaces, students will slow down, observe natural forms, and translate them into thoughtful, expressive artwork. Artists will paint and decorate a real wooden birdhouse, using color, pattern, and design to create a functional piece of art. Artists will also create a whimsical floral acrylic painting. Throughout the workshop, students will strengthen their drawing and painting skills while engaging with the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. This workshop is designed for children and teens, and groups students by age to support appropriate pacing, skill development, and positive peer connection. This camp is perfect for artists who enjoy hands-on projects, nature-inspired themes, and creating artwork that feels personal, joyful, and lasting. Children must be enrolled in First Grade, Fall 2026 and have graduated Kindergarten to attend.

Spring Semester (Mid March-May) This fun class is for students who have taken cartooning and animation and are ready to build on a foundation of a variety of art skills. The joy of drawing cartoons provides a vehicle for also learning drawing basics. This is a digital drawing class. This is an ongoing course that provides new projects each week to challenge and guide your child's artistic abilities. Each student receives individual attention to emphasis their natural strengths and help in areas they need to improve. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Using polymer clay campers will sculpt a miniature Van Gogh painting. While clay is baked and cooling they will get to paint a miniature version of a Van Gogh painting. Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.
