Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Exercise the imagination at the Art House. This class is designed for kindergarten through 2nd grade aged children to help them learn and develop fine motor skills through creating art! Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. Classes are limited in sizes so sign your child up today!

Through hands-on lessons, students will learn how to navigate the interface, use brushes and tools, and apply digital techniques to create original artworks. The course is designed to build a strong foundation for students interested in developing their digital art practice and a small class size means kids will get plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one support. Do you love drawing, patterns, and experimenting with art? This week, you’ll explore fun and surprising ways to make images by printing them again and again! You’ll learn a variety of printmaking techniques, such as relief printing, texture prints, and simple monotype processes. Using safe, kid-friendly tools and materials, you’ll carve, roll, press, and pull your own prints while discovering how artists use repetition, layering, and color to create exciting designs. Each day, you’ll experiment with new methods and build your skills while creating original artwork. By the end of the week, you’ll have a collection of prints to take home and share—plus a deeper understanding of how artists turn one idea into many works of art. This workshop is perfect if you enjoy hands-on art, trying new techniques, and getting a little inky while you create!

This week is for those kids who say that their favorite color is all the colors in the rainbow! This week we will focus on making colorful projects that will sure to put a smile on your face! Each day will feature super fun art projects including drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! A few of the AWESOME projects we will make this week include: Extra large rainbow collage - a fan favorite project! Rainbow inspired paper piñata Model magic rainbow Beaded sun catcher that will make rainbows in your window Red, orange, green, blue, purple, pink drawings, paintings, and sculptures! This week we're putting our illustrative skills to the test as we recreate this enchanting sun and moon design. Students will embrace the concept of line to capture expression, in this step by step project. They will sharpen their drawing skills before running wild with color. Focusing on design and composition, their art will shine with this illuminating caricature of celestial bodies. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year! Join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week! Let’s practice our drawing techniques with this Beatrix Potter inspired mouse! Potter was a popular English writer and illustrator, responsible for classic stories such as “Peter Rabbit”. This week we are mimicking her whimsical style to draw an adorable mouse. Students will get to practice line and form to set up a successful composition with a distinct background and foreground. They will also learn valuable cross hatching techniques to express value and light.

Individual guidance and feedback help students refine their ideas and create original artwork. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is recommended for ages 10+ who have a basic knowledge of drawing and anime. Digital Art Supplies REQUIRED. iPad with Apple Pencil preferred. Class is taught using the program Procreate for Apple iPad, which is strongly recommended. Other programs may suffice, but we cannot promise a 1:1 comparison of lessons for any other programs used. Experience in procreate preferred but not required. We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters.
