Since school is out, come in and work on your projects or take advantage of our experienced instructors and learn something new! Studio Time can be used to develop new skills or strengthen current skills. All of our studio resources will be available to students during this time. Parents may drop-in last minute if they would like, buy a class-pack to use anytime during the fall semester, or register in advance. Students may choose to do ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, animation, collage, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking, screen printing, or anything else we have the resources to do. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Through hands-on lessons, students will learn essential tools, brushes, layers, and digital techniques while creating original artwork and building a strong foundation in digital illustration. Designed for students ages 9.5–12 who are new to digital art or have little formal class experience, Beginning Digital Art emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and core digital art skills. Small class sizes provide plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one support. At the end of the session, students will receive a professionally printed item featuring one of their favorite digital creations. Drawing Class This drawing class is designed for students of all levels of drawing experience, and would like to learn some advanced techniques and explore new mediums. Class Description:
This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance their artistic process and growth. Who This Class Is For: Both new and continuing students. Teens ages 12-17 who are eager to create art more independently but want guidance, structure, and inspiration from a teacher. Students interested in experimenting with different art forms and techniques. Young artists who want to develop their skills and explore personal projects.

Drawing from the natural world, this theme invites campers to create artwork based on plants, animals, environments, and organic forms. Projects encourage observation through drawing, sculpture, and mixed media, and explore different ways artists study and respond to the world around them. The daily activity schedule includes four full hours of art-making and two hours for snacks, lunch, and other activities, fostering a fun and social camp experience. Parents provide both snack and lunch. Extended Care: Extended care is available during the following time periods: 8-9 am, 3-4 pm, and 4-5 pm at $65 per hour for five days per week or fewer. You may also customize your extended care schedule at $17 per hour or portion of an hour for one or more days. Coordinate your extended care needs with The Marvegos before attending and notify the teacher of your needs on the first day of camp. Waitlisting: If your preferred camp is full, we highly recommend adding your child to the waitlist. If spots become available, everyone on the waiting list is notified via email, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Avoiding Repeated Projects: Each themed week features the same projects throughout the week. If your child repeats the same themed week, they will work on the same projects twice. To ensure a fresh and engaging camp experience, we strongly recommend selecting different themed weeks.

Winter Break Camp at The Giggling Pig! Keep the creativity going during winter break with a week of art, fun, and hands-on activities! Campers will spend their days creating a variety of winter-inspired projects while exploring different art materials, techniques, and creative styles. From painting and drawing to crafts, sculptures, and plenty of seasonal surprises, each day will bring something new to create. It’s the perfect way for kids to stay busy, make new friends, and enjoy a fun-filled break from school! Give your child a week filled with creativity, laughter, and winter fun at The Giggling Pig!

In this fun and interactive art class, students will dive into three exciting art projects, each one offering a new way to express creativity! Throughout the session, we’ll focus on key art terminology, build essential techniques, and introduce a bit of art history to inspire our work. Whether it’s drawing, painting, or sculpting, students will have a blast experimenting while sharpening their hand-eye coordination, problem-solving skills, and gaining confidence in their mark-making. Each class is a new adventure in creativity while developing their three different projects and unique approaches to each medium. This helps kids keep building on what they learn and explore new ways to create! Students are encouraged to explore their own style while learning the foundations and techniques that will help them grow as young artists. The best part? Every session is designed to help them build confidence and have fun while discovering the exciting world of art! As students work with different materials, they'll enhance their hand-eye coordination, build problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their ability to express themselves through art. With our small 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio, each child gets plenty of individual attention to help them grow and succeed. This class structure makes this class perfect for both new students and continuing students as we are able to meet each student where they are at to foster their creativity and encourage growth. We’ll begin building foundational art skills while encouraging personal style, creative decision-making, and plenty of imaginative exploration. Each project will be guided but open-ended, giving artists the freedom to make their work truly their own.
