In this class your child will refine their fine motor skills as they learn to draw, paint, and sculpt, while also learning a little art history. Students produce a variety of projects with various mediums and subjects in order to learn different techniques and skills in creating art. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Students focus on perspective, foreshortening, and how fabric drapes and folds over the body. Through observational studies, artists learn to create figures that feel dimensional and dynamic. For the strongest foundation and best experience, we recommend taking Life Drawing: Structure & Anatomy first. In some sessions, students will also have the opportunity to draw from a live (clothed) professional model, gaining valuable experience observing real posture, proportion, and fabric in motion. The class fee includes the cost of a vetted, guild-booked model. Some handouts may include artistic references of the unclothed figure for study purposes. All materials will be provided.

Through gesture, anatomy, and form studies, young artists learn to see the body from different perspectives and build the skills to create more natural, realistic figures. In some sessions, students will also have the exciting opportunity to draw from a live (clothed) model, gaining first-hand experience in observing the proportions and presence of an actual person. The class fee includes the cost of a vetted, guild-booked professional model. Some handouts may include artistic references of the unclothed figure for study purposes. All materials will be provided.

Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

This Middle School Class is perfect for an after school Art Experience. We will complete roughly 1 project each day- :) Includes all sitting fees, materials and glaze/ studio fees. Yes- You can bring a snack to class & eat before we begin.

In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

Through hands-on lessons, students will learn how to navigate the interface, use brushes and tools, and apply digital techniques to create original artworks. The course is designed to build a strong foundation for students interested in developing their digital art practice and a small class size means kids will get plenty of personalized instruction and one-on-one support. What to Bring to Class: iPad (9th generation or newer recommended for best performance) Apple Pencil Charger Because this program is offered on a limited basis, make-up classes are not available. The joy of drawing cartoons provides a vehicle for also learning drawing basics. This is a digital drawing class. This is an ongoing course that provides new projects each week to challenge and guide your child's artistic abilities. Each student receives individual attention to emphasis their natural strengths and help in areas they need to improve. Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up today!

Explore the world of making your own clay creations! This class will teach you how to create several hand-built clay pieces. Students will be introduced to Kiln firing, and procedures, as well as stages of clay: Wet, Greenware, Bisqueware, and more. Each student will custom glaze each project, and have all pieces fired in our kiln. Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Spring Semester (Mid March-May) This class is recommended for ages 10+ who have a basic knowledge of drawing and anime. Digital Art Supplies REQUIRED. iPad with Apple Pencil preferred. Class is taught using the program Procreate for Apple iPad, which is strongly recommended. Other programs may suffice, but we cannot promise a 1:1 comparison of lessons for any other programs used. Experience in procreate preferred but not required. We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. This class is designed to help our young artists learn and develop fine art skills that will also help them in writing and problem solving! Your child will be drawing, painting, and sculpting. Classes also expose them to art history. They are encouraged in their self expression while also learning to follow directions. Our projects are always new and engaging as they continue to grow in their abilities. We desire to build confidence and support their strengths. Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Now available every Saturday! Kids can come in and work on their own projects or take advantage of our experienced instructors and learn something new. Students may also take on ambitious, ongoing projects if they would like. Studio Time can be used to develop new skills or strengthen current skills. All of our studio resources will be available to students during this time. Parents may drop-in last minute if they would like, buy a class-pack to use anytime during the fall semester, or register in advance. Students may choose to do ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, animation, collage, mixed media, sculpture, printmaking, screen printing, or anything else we have the resources to do.
