Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Each technique is taught through a focused lesson, followed by a project that allows students to practice and apply what they learned. Over the session, students will explore different approaches to digital drawing and painting while strengthening their skills, growing more confident, and working with greater independence. Individual guidance and feedback help students refine their ideas and create original artwork. What to Bring to Class: iPad (9th generation or newer recommended for best performance) Apple Pencil Charger Because this program is offered on a limited basis, make-up classes are not available. Through hands-on lessons, students will learn how to navigate the interface, use brushes and tools, and apply digital techniques to create original artworks. Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Each session we will focus on a new artist and medium , creating amazing works throughout the 4 weeks. You don't have to be a pro to create beautiful art! All it takes is some practice, patience, and inspiration to create something magnificent. For my age 10+ KVArteests, we work in oil paints on projects each artist chooses with my input. This is a class for those with enough art experience or can-do attitude to work largely independently.

In Drawing/Painting Class we will create a variety of fine art projects focusing on technique and style, composition, brushwork, and systematic practice. KVArteest will give input on our subject matter, as we together decide what we want to learn.

Enjoy fun-filled, creative summer camps filled with arts and crafts. Each week will have different projects! Our projects will include: creating a book of art over 5 days; painting a multi-step masterpiece; drawing landscapes, cartoons, and more; sculpting with wire, clay, and other materials. LET'S GOGH! Join us for a morning of art inspiration, creativity and fun! At this camp your child will design a painting inspired by what Van Gogh's self portrait would look like as a dog. This project is made with acrylic paint on canvas board. Campers learn about art, get their creative juices flowing, and have fun creating their own work of art. Does your child love books and storytelling? This week, we'll be using children's stories to inspire our artwork. With a different book each day, kids will create art that explores the connection between books, storytelling, and art. As they unleash their imagination and create their own unique interpretations and artwork, projects might include a mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and more!

Art camp is taught by certified teachers, so your child will be having fun while being creative and learning (yes, we sneak it in painlessly) in a safe environment run by individuals who have been trained to work with children and have a Master's degree in education. Ms. Kampson is a tenured art teacher in North Babylon School District, Ms. Katelyn is a certified art teacher at Bayshore High school, and Ms. Riesa is the owner of Key to My Art - a NYS certified teacher and licensed art therapist! Camp will last 2 hours. Your child may bring a light snack and a water bottle. Try to avoid sending your child with any food that contains peanuts - but if you do, please notify the instructor. Book 10 or more days and save 10%, making 2 hours just $40 (less than a babysitter!) Monday - Mixed Media (mixture of different supplies - collages, drawing/painting, glue, scissors, oil pastels, etc) Tuesday - Anything Goes! (Surprise media - may be anything from crafty projects to canvas painting.) Wednesday - Drawing (pencils, crayons, markers, pastels, etc) Thursday - Painting (watercolor, acrylic, etc) Please make sure you read through all of our agreements before checking out. Once you book, we do not offer refunds for any circumstances. In the case that your child is sick or something else comes up, you can swap days - just notify us by EMAIL. All credits must be used by the last day of camp.
