Does your child love books and storytelling? This week, we'll be using children's stories to inspire our artwork. With a different book each day, kids will create art that explores the connection between books, storytelling, and art. As they unleash their imagination and create their own unique interpretations and artwork, projects might include a mix of drawing, painting, sculpture, and more!

A preview allows students to participate in the first class of a focused program and experience its structure and expectations before enrolling. About the program: Digital Art 2 builds on students’ foundational Procreate skills and introduces them to a series of new digital art techniques. Each technique is taught through a focused lesson, followed by a project that allows students to practice and apply what they learned. Over the session, students will explore different approaches to digital drawing and painting while strengthening their skills, growing more confident, and working with greater independence. Individual guidance and feedback help students refine their ideas and create original artwork. About the program: Our Life Drawing class introduces students to the fundamentals of figure drawing and the human form. Through gesture, anatomy, and form studies, young artists learn to see the body from different perspectives and build the skills to create more natural, realistic figures. In some sessions, students will also have the exciting opportunity to draw from a live (clothed) model, gaining first-hand experience in observing the proportions and presence of an actual person. The class fee includes the cost of a vetted, guild-booked professional model. Some handouts may include artistic references of the unclothed figure for study purposes. All materials will be provided.

Rebel Art Summer Camps are full of exploration, creative excitement, and just plain fun! Much like our teen school year classes, we will offer the flexibility of having planned projects for those who don't necessarily have a clear idea of what to create, as well as more of an open studio for those who are ready to dive into all those projects in their heads (with the guidance of our teachers). We offer everything from drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, printmaking to sculpture. Please note that due to time constraints, we do not offer ceramics in this program during summer camps (please check out our Rebel Ceramics program if interested in working with ceramics). We break up the week by hosting camp in different locations. Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays are hosted at the studio at 1444 South Main st., and Tuesdays/Thursdays we meet at local parks. This unique opportunity is only offered during summer camps and is incredibly special as it allows campers to experience working in plein air (from life outside) as well as in the studio for a complete art experience. Please note that we keep a close watch on the weather and air quality and will relocate to the studio if it will be too hot or poor air.

Sign up for each week- we have a new curriculum each week! Kids will enjoy 4 hours of Art and Art related Activities! Day Camp is a drop off program & for ages 4 and older. Each day includes a variety of Cookies & Canvas event, One Day Workshop, OR Pottery Painting & Open Studio time. Most projects will go home same day. (If they have pottery painting that day, they will need to be picked up following week) Kids enjoy stations as well as several art projects during their 4 hours of fun at the Art Studio! Groups separated by age under K-4 grades, 5-8 grades. Bring peanut free sack lunch, snack & water bottle. Please dress for the weather- as we do take a walk in the neighborhood and eat in the garden on days when we can.

Creator's Camp inspires campers to connect with their creativity while developing their skills in storytelling, art, music, and hands-on projects. Guided by award-winning Lando educators, campers will explore painting, drawing, and arts and crafts—engaging their hands, heads, and hearts while building lasting friendships. Weekly Schedule Each week combines traditional camp activities with specialized Lando classes. Campers attend two Lando sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (each class offered twice weekly), with Wednesdays reserved for exciting field trips. Field Trips: - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Campers will experience Four Award-Winning Lando Classes: Summer LEGO® Robotics Lab – Build a new robot daily using LEGO® bricks, motors, and sensors. We'll have a new project each day, so you can sign up for just one day or the whole week (but we don't recommend signing up for the morning and the afternoon on the same day as the projects do repeat). Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is recommended for ages 10-18 who have a basic knowledge of drawing. Come dive in to the world of anime at Art House! Learn step by step drawing skills used to create anime characters. This class takes a look at what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters.
