Class Description:
This teen art class is designed for teens who are ready to begin exploring their creative potential and how to start developing their own artistic voice. Students will be introduced to, and encouraged to explore, a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, mixed media, and collage—while receiving personalized guidance from an experienced instructor. Whether they're interested in building their technical skills or discovering thier own unique style, this class offers the freedom to experiment and create at your own pace. New teen students will complete three pre-designed projects with their teacher's guidance to help aid them in learning how to set-up/clean-up supplies and materials, get a feel for what mediums are available, and allow teachers to get a feel for the student's level of skill and art knowledge. What They’ll Learn: Medium Exploration: Gain hands-on experience with a wide range of art forms, including pencil and charcoal drawing, acrylic and watercolor painting, clay sculpture, printmaking, and collage techniques. Project Development: Learn how to conceptualize, plan, and execute your own independent projects. With teacher support, they’ll refine your ideas and bring them to life. Creative Techniques: Develop new skills in various artistic techniques, from layering and texture in mixed media to the technical aspects of ceramics and printmaking. Self-Expression: Find their own voice and style as they experiment with different materials and approaches to art-making. Critique & Feedback: Receive constructive feedback from the instructor and peers in a supportive and open environment to enhance their artistic process and growth. Who This Class Is For: Both new and continuing students. Teens ages 12-17 who are eager to create art more independently but want guidance, structure, and inspiration from a teacher. Campers will spend the week singing, dancing, acting, and rehearsing for their end of the week showcase that will take place on the last day of camp! They’ll also be given the chance to discover what goes on “behind the scenes” with process art projects that introduce them to theatrical elements such as costumes, props, and sets. Explore the endless possibilities of pinch pots and coils in this workshop on tea light pots. Participants will have a variety of forms to choose from, like a skull, cat, or pumpkin. Participants will have the option to make 2-3 pots with under glaze. Great for making something to add to a Dia de los Muertos Ofrenda! Family day workshops are designed for parents and children to work on projects together led by an instructor. One reservation ($50) for up to four participants, an $20/person for more than four (paid day of). No experience necessary. There is no age limit, but participants under 4 years old will require much more guidance from guardian. All kids must be accompanied by a guardian. Clay and underglaze are included. Projects will be clear glazed and ready for pick up two weeks after the class.

This league is perfect for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 4th grade who want to learn the game the right way while having a blast on the court. It’s all about opposites: loud and quiet, fast and slow, up and down! Contrasting ‘themes’ help your child learn better ways to communicate. We move across the bridge sllowwwly and then fast! They'll learn how to control body movements and use their body to navigate and problem solve across monkey bars, giant cushions, and through little tunnels. We’ll also practice repetition and routine with regular parachute and bubble activities. Soon your little one will be leading the Gymbo Dance!

Discover Fun, Leadership, and New Skills at GrowFit Camp! At GrowFit Camp, kids aged 4-12 dive into a world of sports and games, discovering new athletic passions in a fun, supportive environment. For teens aged 13-16, our Counselors-In-Training (CIT) program offers the ultimate mix of leadership training, community service opportunities, and exciting gameplay with younger campers—all while boosting résumés with valuable experience! CITs work alongside camp counselors under the guidance of a trained coach, learning leadership skills and playing a variety of sports and games. CITs are technically campers, actively participating in all camp activities while building valuable leadership experience. The program is $30/day with limited spots available each week, requiring a full-session commitment. What to Bring: Water Bottle: Stay hydrated! Refill stations are available on-site. Shoes & Clothing: Comfortable athletic shoes and black athletic shorts or pants are required. Each CIT will receive a camp shirt to wear for the week. Food: Please pack a hearty lunch and a few snacks as CITs run around quite a bit during the day. Drop-Off: 8:30–9:00 AM at the main FRONT ENTRANCE of The Plex.
