Winter Semester (January-Mid March) Exercise the imagination and build creativity at the Art House. This class is designed for Kindergarten through 2nd grad aged children to help them learn and develop fine motor skills through creating art! Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. The days may be getting shorter, but all that darkness just gives us an opportunity to celebrate light! No matter where you look at this magical time of year, you'll see a twinkle in the night, inspiring hope and joy. Our objective this week is to capture the essence of that glimmering shine in our art! With a limited palette and a focus on values students will mimic the flicker of light while practicing their blending techniques. Perfect class for children ages 7-9 years old. 90-min class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our intermediate classes throughout the school-year! Join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week!

Classes also expose them to art history. They are encouraged in their self expression while also learning to follow directions. Our projects are always new and engaging as they continue to grow in their abilities. We desire to build confidence and support their strengths. Winter Semester (January-Mid March) This class is recommended for ages 10+ who have a basic knowledge of drawing and anime. Digital Art Supplies REQUIRED. iPad with Apple Pencil preferred. Class is taught using the program Procreate for Apple iPad, which is strongly recommended. Other programs may suffice, but we cannot promise a 1:1 comparison of lessons for any other programs used. Experience in procreate preferred but not required. We will study what makes a cartoon "anime," different methods, techniques, and all the formal elements you need to create your own anime art and characters. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-8 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes. Dress for a mess! We use acrylic paints and sometimes they are difficult to remove from clothes!
