The Offbeat Street Art Tour is the first tour in Chicago that truly celebrates Chicago's street art scene. No other tour takes guests out into the streets to showcase and highlight the vibrant street art scene which many people overlook on a daily basis. The MCA Chicago is one of the nation’s largest multidisciplinary museums devoted to the art of our time with an international reputation for presenting ground-breaking exhibitions. Originally conceived as a "Kunsthalle" or non-collecting art hall hosted temporary exhibitions of new and experimental artists, the museum has no permanent exhibits on view. Instead, you'll find work by living artists across media in exhibits that change every few months. As we walk along the Union Pacific viaduct, you’ll learn the history of this 50-year-old project and watch it evolve from a community-based mural program to an international attraction featuring artists from all over the world. You’ll deepen your understanding of the elements of street art by exploring the eclectic work of hundreds of artists and volunteers. Chicago’s Loop is home to some of the city’s most perfectly preserved Art Deco architecture designed during the Roaring 20s. See 7 stunning Art Deco buildings, all masterpieces in their unique & individual ways, as well as 4-5 other notable properties and outdoor sculptures on this fun and fabulous walk of Chicago's Financial District and parts of the North Michigan Avenue corridor. Your tour guide, interior designer, and historical architecture guru Ronnie Frey will paint a picture you'll not soon forget of modern life in the New Machine Age.
