A flexible, sensory & process-based art experience designed for toddlers and their caregivers. Each morning, our studio is thoughtfully prepared with rotating art and sensory invitations that encourage children to paint, pour, scoop, squish, build, mix, experiment, and explore at their own pace. What to expect: Flexible arrival anytime between 9:30–11:30 AM Stay for as long as works for your child Several rotating art and sensory stations One or two optional guided art experiences led by our teacher Child-led exploration with gentle teacher support Opportunities to build curiosity, independence, imaginative play, and hands-on discovery All materials included A warm, engaging environment for children and caregivers to create, discover, and connect Participation is always optional, so each child can explore independently, join a guided activity, or move between both in the way that feels right for them. Discover textures with different mediums, such as paint, sponges, craft paper, elements of nature and more! In the JAMaROO Kids Sensory Art classes, we will pull our inspiration from our monthly curriculum, nature, and the changing seasons using our books, puppets, & music to enhance the class: providing a full sensory experience. Children will explore different art mediums while fostering speech & language development, and exploring textures, colors & shapes. At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, yoga and art curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional. This class includes: Sensory Play and Art 15 MINUTE EXPLORATION TIMES: We are eager to build community together as we open our JAMaROO Kids Club! We invite you to arrive up to 15 minutes before your class, and stay up to 15 minutes after your class ends, to explore our space with your littles! We simply ask that you adhere to the 15 minute windows before and after out of respect for the previous class, and the following class. This session, we will focus on Forest Animals, the Rainforest, and Snow and Arctic Animals! This is an 8-week session. Music supports and nurtures all areas of child development: Social-emotional, Cognitive, Language and Literacy, as well as both areas of physical development, fine and gross motor development. During these classes, we’ll sing traditional songs and learn many new ones, often using fun visual props to help support language development and symbolic thinking. Most of our staff has extensive background in Early Childhood Education, intentionally exposing children to a rich variety of language, beats, and sounds while remaining developmentally appropriate. Our programs offer a joyful and rewarding experience for both adults and children, providing a great occasion for babies to interact with other babies and parents to meet other parents.
