PE 101 is a 90-minute class where students explore multiple sports in a fun, encouraging learning environment. This program is designed to keep students ACTIVE while they learn the basics of athletics and team sports. Each class includes: A dynamic warm-up and stretch Agility stations and skill-building drills Sport-specific units that cover rules, strategy, and fundamentals Classic, high-energy games like kickball, dodgeball, whiffleball, wallball, and capture the flag Our goal is to help students build confidence, coordination, and a love for movement—while having a blast with friends. Each project typically takes two classes to complete, giving students time to dive deeper into their work and really develop their skills. Along the way, they'll learn essential art terminology, learn and build on different techniques, and even discover a bit of art history to inspire their creativity. As students work with different materials, they'll enhance their hand-eye coordination, build problem-solving skills, and gain confidence in their ability to express themselves through art. With our small 6:1 student-to-teacher ratio, each child gets plenty of individual attention to help them grow and succeed. Throughout the school year, each new session brings fresh projects that build on what they’ve already learned, offering a continuous journey of artistic exploration. This 6 class session will begin with hand-building techniques to provide a better understanding of the ceramic medium before working on the pottery wheel. Artists will learn about the full ceramic process from creating their own ceramic pieces, the firing process, as well as glazing. Students will learn how to use ceramic tools and equipment from needle tools and ribs to slab rollers, extruders and electric wheels. Artists who have taken this course with us will be able to continue building on their skills and knowledge with different projects that we demonstrate, as well as learning how to develop their own ideas and projects with the teacher's guidance. The class is 2 hours once per week for 6 weeks. The registration fee includes clay, use of tools and supplies. Please note that we are unable to offer make-up classes, nor a pro-rate for future missed classes. Once the session is over you will receive an email notice that the ceramic pieces have completed their glaze firing and are ready for pick up. All students new to Expanded Fundamentals will receive a notification to sign up for a one-time, prerequisite Online Form Class, which must be completed by the third week. Individual goals are established and records of progress kept. A sketchbook is required for this class. This program does not require students to have prior art-making experience. Students new to ADEX are required to complete 3-4 prerequisite projects that introduce new mediums and the fundamentals of composition, color, and form. These projects also serve to familiarize students with the studio’s layout, proper setup and cleanup procedures, as well as essential steps in project planning. These prerequisites are completed at the students’ pace and typically take at least one session to complete.

Camp includes arts and crafts, story time, dramatic play, sensory activities, and lots and lots of fun! Each child will come home with a bag full of art relating to the day's theme. There will be plenty of opportunities to get messy during camp days!

Don't worry about a sitter! Give yourself a parents' night off and send your child to our Kids' Night Out! Pizza party dinner will be included, as well as multiple arts and crafts, and a big, instructor-led project! $40 for the first child and $35 for additional siblings.
