Animal Sculptures Come join us for a morning of hands on fun inspired by sculpture artist Jeff Koons! At this camp your child will design a sculpture to look like a balloon animal using polymer clay which is baked and cooled and then painted! Your child will come home with a completed work of art. Engage your little one in a multi-age music class which provides opportunities in class for not only learning musical techniques, styles, and about different instruments, but also supports social and emotional development.

Design it. Build it. Take it home. If your child loves creating, building, and figuring out how things work, this camp is a perfect fit. In 3D Printing & Design Lab, students step into the role of a real product designer. They’ll learn how to design objects from scratch using professional-grade CAD software (TinkerCAD by AutoCAD - the same tool used by engineers and product teams), then bring those ideas to life using actual 3D printers. This is a hands-on, project-driven camp. Students don’t just watch or follow instructions - they design, iterate, and improve their creations throughout the week. From gadgets and tools to creative models and custom parts, students experience the full design-to-production process. What students will do: Learn the fundamentals of 3D modeling and CAD design Use industry-standard software in a kid-friendly way Design multiple original projects Watch their designs become real on a 3D printer Take home their printed creations Along the way, students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and an understanding of how modern products are actually made - skills that translate directly into engineering, design, and STEM careers. Important note: Because 3D printing takes time, some projects may finish printing after camp hours. In those cases, completed prints will be available for pickup at Silicon STEM following the camp. This is one of our most popular camps for a reason - kids leave proud of what they’ve built, and parents love seeing real skills turn into real objects. If your student likes this class, they will love the Advanced 3D Printing camp (we use Onshape as the 3D CAD program) focused on more advanced design concepts, or another design-oriented camp like the Virtual Reality camp, or perhaps consider a more hands-on type camp like Battlebots with VEX Robotics.

Children will learn while enjoying engaging themes like animals, bug, and outerspace that continue to foster imagination and allow adults and children to play together building confidence and trust in a 75 min class. Adult/child time is followed by a 30-minute separation time gently easing them into a pre-scholl experience in a familiar, safe environment. Children will build confidence and important social skills as they learn to take instructions from their Gymboree teacher, interact with others, learn to share and take turns in social activities and brain games like puzzles, playdough and story time. Class ends with celebration, the return of adults reminding their children that adults always come back!

Explorers Class is full of creativity and imagination! We may throw a pretend party, imagine a wild trip to outer space, or pretend to be a firefigher helping others...we’ll transform our play scape into a whole new world! All the while working on socialization, sharing, taking turns, and peer modeling with our new friends!

It’s all about opposites! Loud and quiet, fast and slow, up and down! Contrasting ‘themes’ means your child is learning better ways to communicate. Explore the different equipment pieces each week to build problem solving, navigating skills, and confidence.

Preschool Play and Prep is a playful program designed to introduce children 2-3 years-old to concepts of early learning in a preschool type environment. We use a thematic approach with age appropriate activities to engage children utilizing books, music, art and movement. Socialization, learning to take turns and cooperative problem solving are all part of this fun and engaging program. Caregivers will leave the class after the first 15 minutes. If the student is not toilet trained, the caregiver must remain in the lobby for diaper changes. Where they are: Your little learner is ready to start on ABC’s and 123’s. They are showing more interest in talking and figuring out the relationship between letters and language. They are also ready to learn basic counting skills and the relationship that numbers have to objects.

These babies are on the move! Crawling, cruising, rolling, sitting, ready to explore anything and everything. We explore new physical challenges every week through teacher-led guidance on the equipment. Explore tummy time from a new perspective or on a new texture, slide down slides on soft lambskins, or take a ride in a gentle swing! Play as a group and socialize with others! Welcome to Footsteps Full Day Camp at Barrett! **Enrollment is included with a minimum of 3 days per week enrollment. If you are not enrolled full time, please add the drop in fee listed on the extras tab** Full Day Camp at Footsteps includes fun and educational activities. The typical day includes indoor and outdoor choices with arts & crafts, games, sports, wheels*, gardening, and activity clubs. Two healthy snacks are included each day, no lunch is provided. Plan on bringing a health lunch. *Children are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and other non-motorized wheels to ride during the day. Helmets and other safety gear must be worn, and children may only use the items they bring.
