We’re getting our hands dirty with clay! Students will try a fun new technique to create a decorative Pebble Bowl using air-dry clay. We’ll experiment with clay balls to build a unique bowl design and then add paint to finish it off. Art Lessons perfect for ages 4-6 years. 1-hour class We will use a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic & tempera paints, oil pastels, mixed media, and clay for our beginner classes throughout the school-year! Join us on Tuesday or Saturday each week... or whenever it's convenient for you! We do the same project each of those days for each week, and then something new for the next week! Dress for a mess! Please! We use acrylic paints and sometimes they are difficult to remove from clothes!

In this 90-minute drop-in workshop, each registered artist receives a blank paper maché pumpkin and full creative license to make it their own. Our studio will be stocked with paint, collage papers, ribbons, and embellishments, plus plenty of inspiration to spark new directions. Artists can go spooky or sweet, modern or classic, even give it a face and turn your piece into a Jack O'Lantern. Unlike the real thing, a paper maché pumpkin never rots, so what you make becomes a keepsake to bring out season after season. Welcome to Footsteps Full Day Camp at Barrett! **Enrollment is included with a minimum of 3 days per week enrollment. If you are not enrolled full time, please add the drop in fee listed on the extras tab** Full Day Camp at Footsteps includes fun and educational activities. The typical day includes indoor and outdoor choices with arts & crafts, games, sports, wheels*, gardening, and activity clubs. Two healthy snacks are included each day, optional pizza lunch is available to pre-purchase under extras for $8. Otherwise, plan on bringing a healthy lunch. *Children are allowed to bring bikes, scooters, and other non-motorized wheels to ride during the day. Helmets and other safety gear must be worn, and children may only use the items they bring.

It builds on foundational techniques while offering more opportunities for independent decision-making. Prior completion of Fine Art Fundamentals isn’t required, but familiarity with basic art concepts is recommended. All students new to Expanded Fundamentals will receive a notification to sign up for a one-time, prerequisite Online Form Class, which must be completed by the third week. This class teaches students about form, values and composition. If your child has already completed this class as part of Fine Art Fundamentals, they do not need to take it again.
