Saint Columbkille Partnership School's Early Childhood Program is a well-developed, research-based program that will introduce children from two years and nine months through kindergarten, to the world of learning that is critical for later academic and social success in life.

Aligning with the mission of Saint Columbkille Partnership School, the Early Childhood Program uses age-appropriate curriculum and manipulatives to engage young children in learning and play allowing for the growth and development of the whole child. Teachers hold degrees in early childhood education and receive support from classroom aides, coaches, and other adults to provide targeted small group instruction to meet the needs of all students. The program follows school-wide routines and procedures that ensure the safety and health of its students. The warm, caring, and curriculum-based program prepares children for the academic rigor to follow.

Children engage in a blend of purposeful play and academic instruction. Classrooms are alive with age appropriate materials. With the guidance of their teachers they will develop their natural curiosity and love of learning.

The Early Childhood Program serves students who are 2 years and 9 months by September 1. The Pre-K program is for 2.9 and three year old students and the K1 program is for four year old students. Both programs are full-day. Recently, the Early Childhood classrooms and play areas were fully renovated and equipped to accommodate new curricula in both early literacy and early mathematics. This innovative Early Childhood Program builds a foundation for all future learning. It gives children the right start and greatly enhances their opportunities to succeed throughout their educational career.
